Cons, other than Gaelcon?

    I would very much appreciate information on Irish role playing conventions other than Gaelcon. Especially if any take place in the western part of the island - but others are interesting too.

    Hi MichaelR,

    I afraid you have already missed Confess, which was on Friday 26th - Saturday 27th September 2008 in sligo but you closest con is Itzacon.
    Itzacon Eire is Galway's annual games convention, held on the grounds of NUI, Galway on March 6-8, 2009.

    I am sure that Sarky who is this years con director will be along to regale you about it shortly.

    As for other cons about the country there there is sticked thread with info about them
    and links to their site in this forum entitled conage.

    Yup, Itzacon 5 will be March 6-8th 2009, in NUI Galway. We have planned plenty of RPGs, card games, board games, wargames and general fun and frolics throughout the weekend. The past Itzacons have gone down extremely well with the general congoing public, this year should be no exception.

    The next con that isn't Gaelcon is Dominicon in Maynooth http://dominicon.net/ from November 14th to 16th. It's a nice con, small and friendly and allways with something a bit silly going on.


    But the best is obviously Itzacon in March ^_^
