Looking through the post there and I taught that I would start is thread. Might of been done before but hey here it goes :D

Whats your favourite body part to train and why?

I have a couple, firstly I have to say legs. The feeling of all that blooding rushing to your quads is excellent. Some people may think that I am a little crazy but I love leg days. By the time I get through my leg work out I do feel like dying but I say to myself hey thank fu** thats over. From squating to leg press there is nothing like a hardcore leg work out, the type were you feel like your head is going to explode :D

Next I would have to say back, Now I am a tall guy so I would not be the best on the ole dead but back days kick arse.

Just taught I would see what you guys taught

Love the deads and squats, no doubt, but I love hamstrings as well when you hit them properly. Stiff legs are great for stretching them (I think they were compared to bicep curls before here but I don't care!).
Don't especially like benching, I'm not good at it (and probably won't be til I start to like it) but for ages my form was sh1t which limited it a lot, plus imo its the hardest lift to lose "teh fear" on, especially when training alone.

No specific body part but I love that feeling when you get out of the gym after busting your arse for 40 mins. That pumped up feeling is fantastic!!

I have to say that I love front squats, man are they the bomb. Mind you I would not go too heavy (max 140-150 for 6-8) but boy do I get a pump. Same for stiff leg deads, I would do them after 4 sets of hamstring curls and that’s only the 2nd exercise for legs and at this stage the legs do be pumped to fu**. Benching would not be my best to be honest, I would have always struggled on flat, it took me 1 year to break past 140kg now on a good day I would do say 150-155 at a push but I would get a good 6-8 on the 150. If I was to go heavier I would be sacrificing forum so I don’t. If I get the 6-8 out of 150 I feel like a pig in ****. I train alone but I have my friend Tommy close by if I need a spot, so I am confident doing every set. Just for the record I do use a spot for the 150 bench.
    :D

A toss up between pull up / deadlift / squat.

    Dam it

Pull ups really do wonders for my back and I really like them. Deadlift, as I already said I would not be the best but I do like it. Squat, I love front squat, I get some pump and my legs grow like crazy. Sh** what I decision  I would say squats

If you have a problem with deads cause you are tall have you tried sumo style?

By toss up I mean flick a three sided coin to decide... as I love them all! :pac:

Squat & Pull Ups are a decent superset.

e.g. pull up to the squat bar (if you bend your lower legs up behind you so they don't hit the ground)

Sumo deadlifts aren't much use for building your back...

Why's that? I always felt like the weight was being carried with the whole of my back, instead of just the lower portion. Maybe I was just doing them wrong...

Has to be the chest!! It's my main focus whislt training, god... FEEL THE BURN DEEP IN MY MOOBS!!! *cough*

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,467 ✭✭✭COH

    Its gotta be the deadlift

There's nothing I love more than squats, so legs for me. I feel like Superman after a set of them and I find 'em the most satisfying to train.

Then the back, deads and barbell rows. Love them too, but knowing I'll be doing heavy deadlifts still terrifys me before the gym!

I don't like training my chest or shoulders at all, but I do.

    All of them :D

Leg training isnt going well at the moment due to a knee injury though

Deadlift and Squat, my squat is lacking badly (because I only started going to the gym, never had a power rack before), but I'm having fun catching up with my deadlift. Also love doing overhead press with dumb bell's, always gives the core a good hit, especially for a shoulder exercise.

    No. Grow up. Infracted.

    Pull Ups - back

Probably because (for me) they were the hardest exercise to build up to 10 reps on (with good form)

After that it'd be squats because the f*ck you up so good

has to be squats....getting majorly jealous here as i havent squatted since.....2nd of august i think!

feckn injurys, 4 weeks touch wood and ill get that uncomparable burn that only they can give you

Has to be Squats. I did the starting strenght 5x5 programe a few weeks back and my squat went up 70%, 70kg - 120kg!! Which was excellent for me! I weight 85kg. I now squat 100kg easily at each workout. I think it was more the fear of lifting the weight more then anything that held me back, but once I got past that, it was ****ing brilliant!!
