hey ive been in the gym for about 3 years, i used to be fairly overweight as a young teenager but lost quite a bit of it and gained muscle through swimming and going to the gym. Im 18 now, in Total Fitness, Castleknock, and just having a lot of trouble losing the last bit of flab on my belly and hips, its now my main goal to lose this. I train about 3-4 days a week including free weights, cardio, core and swimming the odd time. I have been considering taking protein for a while now, but which one? I always thought maximuscle was the best until I saw some of the things posted here. Any advice on my workout or protein would be greatly appreciated. My main goal by the way is to get defenition on my abs and lose the fat on my belly and hips. Many thanks.

You'd be better off just concentrating on shaving something out of your diet or doing more cardio than using protein. Taking a shake won't lose flab.

He's in the gym for "3 hours". I'm in the gym for a maximum of 25 minutes . What could you be doing that takes 3 hours? I'm curious.

If you are looking to lose more fat, why would you be considering taking in extra calories in the form of a protein shake (or in any other form)?
