Body composition and Energy balance

I understand the whole calorie balance, and I eat pretty much "good" foods
But I have a few specific queries.

I keep fit purely to stay in shape, i.e lose fat and not muscle. As I go into calorific deficit I find I lose both muscle mass and fat, though I lose more fat.
The bigger the deficit the more muscle I lose. I understand that and all the reasons.

I'm wondering if I say dramaticially increase my exercise regime, so I'm doing weights cardio in a fairly good balance, but say add an extra 1000 to 1500 calories a day to my daily expenditure, and exactly balance that with intake. and that intake is balanced. i.e not pure protein. will my body compisition stay the same. Will a year later I still have the same fat and muscle percentage?

I should become fitter, definately my cardiovascular fitness should increase, blood pressure drop. But will my body composition change? Energy balance tells me no

Or would over time fI find that I am loosing fat and gaining muscle.
    Or am I wrong.
