That is quite a low price, I would want to be spending 400 on one or the other to be sure of getting reasonable quality. You might get some single sort of crosstrainer instead, take up less space too.

What are your goals? If you just want to lose a beer belly then lifting weights are fantastic for fatloss, and a decent enough set is €80 in argos, you can buy more plates as strength improves, a chinup bar is only €11 too.

    thanks for the response.

i actually have dumbells+barbell at home so im covered for weights, i just wanted to get some cardio equipment to complement the weights.

some one recommedned a rower to me as the ebst cardio thing to buy but i actually prefer exercise bikes to them. but was thinkin of buying one of each to chop and change a bit

If and only if you know what you're doing, rowers are glorious. Concept 2 is the only maker worth considering, but their older models should be available used. (current is the Model D, most boat clubs still use Cs, but Bs are perfectly respectable as well).

Model E is now out in concept 2.

I wouldn't touch off any concept except C up...and I wouldn't be a fan of the E either, far too high up.
You should pick up a used model C for very cheap.

As was said really..No other rowing machine even comes close to the concept 2.

Interesting -- I've never come across them. The D and E look so similar the perhaps I just didn't notice.

Nothing wrong with a B if it's still in good condition! The A (which was essentially a bicycle wheel with plastic fins) should probably be avoided.

The E model is essentially the same as a D model but about a foot off the ground!

handy for just normal training but not the kind of thing preferred when doing a 2k test and you collapse off the thing afterwards !
