i would love to see hardy beat hhh but i think they will wrestle again over the next few months so they can build up more of a rivalry. maybe by Survivor Series possibly. Although i would prefer if they kept this match till WM.

That is what we call a Smackdown spoiler, not a No Mercy one. I don't care but you might want to fix that before you draw the ire of somebody else

Yeah. It was a no-brainer seeing as who the competitors are. And the poster just seals the deal! :D

The Womens titles are getting too much air time on PPVs imho.
Looking forward to how the rest of this pans out though.

I dunno if this is "off topic" and if it is I apologise for ruining this excellent thread, but All Nightmare Long is a ****in unreal song. Metallica are savage.

    WWE Championship Match
    - Triple H (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

    WWE Women's Championship Match
    - Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Candice Michelle

    I guessing also maybe

    The Undertaker V Big Show

    Rey V Kane

Will Orton be back wrestling for No Mercy?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 130 ✭✭herewegoagain

I doubt it will be Rey against Kane at No Mercy unless it is some sort or a gommick match beacuse they are facing off tonight on RAw

isnt HHH due to take some time off soon enough! so maybe it will go to jeff!

    We can only hope :p

if he does win chances HHH will have it back when he returns. If they could keep the feud till WM and then have Jeff finally win which would be a great match imo. possibly have jeff win the rumble ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

Winning the rumble is to elevate a person into Jeffs current position, he has been in the position a couple of times through varied circumstances but they have yet to pull the trigger

I really thought they were building to both Hardys taking gold on the same night but hey it didnt happen but im sure Jeff will have his opportunity soon I just hope he doesnt blow it

well not the last 2 winners Cena and Taker but i see your point. Although if he does win at least you would get new rivalries with people like MVP , Benjamin , Kennedy Big Show Taker and possibly the returning edge. I could see Taker being the one to take it back off him and then Taker vs HHH at wrestlemania again but who would win????:)

I don't think that HHH will be taking time off soon. Smackdown is going to a new network soon and he's their biggest star. I'm sure that he'll be around for that

Yep. He is in a number of MyNetwork idents holding the title (which were taped around Wrestlemania time this year btw.)

Is HHH V Undetaker the plan for WM?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,588 ✭✭✭JP Liz

WWE is advertising the following matches for the No Mercy pay-per-view, which takes place Oct. 5 in Portland. This is most likely the final card as there are 7 announced matches:

-Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels in a ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

-Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy for the WWE Title.

-Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry for the ECW Title.

-Batista vs. JBL in a No. 1 contender's match for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

    -Big Show vs. Undertaker.

-Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle for the WWE Women's Title.

    -Rey Mysterio vs. Kane

that would be interesting but id be worried theyd have hhh be the one to break the streak....and can you imagine the field day people would have here if that happened!?

I love to see Edge be the one that ends Taker's WM streak

nah edge is big enough he doesnt need that acolade! i say let the guy keep it tbh! or let an up and comer end it, like kennedy when they were pushin him! but my choice is let taker keep it!

Im in the keep it camp too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

Its not something you can give back once it is gone and not something that can be quickly replicated, I also don't think there is anyone worthy of breaking it who is not already made, i say leave it be

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Edge should be returning to television within the next few weeks. Creative has been keeping him off television in order to sell the "injuries" he received from his match against The Undertaker at Summerslam. In addition, there appear to be no plans for him to resume his feud with 'Taker upon his return, so creative wanted to be sure that The Dead Man was already involved in a new program before Edge made his TV return.

So the Edge/Taker feud is over

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,089 ✭✭✭✭rovert

^ That is actually a pretty poor rehash of what was written.

JP Liz they want to establish the the Show/Taker feud before returning to Edge/Taker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,143 ✭✭✭D-FENS

Personally i'll be glad to see Edge and Taker take a break from each other for a while, they've met on 3 PPV's already this year hav'nt they?
A Edge / Jeff feud could be brilliant (Have Edge cost him the title maybe?) But they'd have to take up him and taker again in some capacity at some point, i would have thought both are bound to be involved in the title picture at some stage (Edge to win the Rumble!)

Totally agree. Taker should be allowed to keep the streak, just as a thanks for wrestling all them muppets down through the years- Giant Gonzales, Kamala etc

Apologies if this could've gone in another thread, just thought it would be as well to set up a new one.

Hardy and Henry, was better than I was expecting.

Been a pretty lame and predictable PPV so far, to be honest.

    Hardy wins. Yawn.

    Beth wins. Yawn.

Rey doesn't have to unmask because of a DQ. Yawn.

    Batista wins. Yawwwwnnnn...

Awesome promo by JBL after he lost though, great stuff imo

Tis the highlight of the ppv for me though so far, matches have been mediocre and the results have been obvious. Tis just the hope of seeing Hardy get the win and the Ladder match that is keeping me watching

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,751 ✭✭✭newballsplease

    jericho will win the ladder.
hardy will beat hhh i think, might be some interference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,309 ✭✭✭✭Bard

I'd rather (and kind of expect) HBK to win the ladder match - although there is ews that WWE are planning on making story lines last longer, so maybe that rivalry will drag out further...

What about Undertaker Vs Big Show? - about to start...

For some reason I'm thinking Undertaker hasn't lost a PPV match so far.

If so, maybe tonight's the night...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,309 ✭✭✭✭Bard

Big Show wins with a K.O.

    ...Slight surprise...

Was it a KO? I thought it looked like a DQ, had the bloody thing on mute.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,972 ✭✭✭orestes

Well, didn't see that coming I gotta admit

I am curious to see who will get a bigger pop though, Jeff or Hunter

i assume you mean hasn't lost a ppv match so far this year as taker has lost lots of ppv matches over the years

I thought that aswell till the decision was announced, I thought Show was disqualified for the shot to the back of Takers head

I'm gonna mark out like crazy if Hardy wins this, I swear

im not interested in anything other than the HBK vs Y2J match. Might stay up and watch it when it comes on.

Well I'm no expert unlike my brother (Bounty Hunter)

... and yeah, it looked like a DQ, until Show was talking to the ref and said "raise my hand" and the KO was called.

I'm sort of expecting Hardy to take the title from HHH now... let's see, eh? :)

If he was going to take the title, they'd leave the match till last, not 50 minutes in.

He already lost a ppv match this year, hence his banishment

This PPV is absolute dirt so far, when Hardy v Henry is the highlight of the first 120 minutes, you know you've produced a nut filled turd of a PPV.

That said, JBL's thank you congress promo was f*cking hilarious.
Hardy/HHH is decent enough so far, looking forward to the ladder match, if anything else.

I guess I was thinking Undertaker hasnt lost a TITLE at a PPV...? would that be right?
