Looks good, hope the season improves now as the 1st half was kinda slow with the notable exception of 'canada on strike'.

Anyone have any idea as to when it will be up on southparkstudios??
It says it's being aired today but not up so far!

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Arts Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 30,115 CMod ✭✭✭✭johnny_ultimate

Will likely be in the wee hours of the morning, since it doesn't show up until after Comedy Central has shown it. The countdown clock probably bases the time on your IP address or something, hence the 00:00:00ness.

It won't be on any of the main sp sites until around 8am (Irish time) tomorrow morning.

My feelings on the latest Indiana Jones movie captured perfectly
    :)

wasn't great, they've done the whole Spielberg Lucas thing before, and the China thing just went nowhere.

    absolutely fantastic.

the chinese bit was good, but the Indy bit was just wonderful.

Solid episode, good way to kick off new south park. I felt that on there own, neither story would have worked well, would have been too drawn out. However, together, they worked quite well, particularly the deliverance bit. Butters shooting people in the dick was great.

    http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/187260/

overall i thought it was good enough, my jaw literally dropped at some points
    all those rape scenes

    like butters,
i didnt think indiana jones was all that bad either :o

They've done the Lucas Spielberg thing before, but it was still really funny. I think I preferred the other half of the episode though. Cartman and Butters confronting the family at the restaurant :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,711 ✭✭✭allybhoy

I was uber dissapointed to be honest, after seeing the two sneak preview clips I thought it was going to be great but it was just average. The chinese part started off promisingly enough, it just didnt go anywhere, I was hoping those lads from the pokemon episode "Penish a sho small, you have big american penish..." were going to make an appearance or even if Butters and Cartman had of gone to the Shiitty Wok it would have been funnier. and the indiana jones bit wasnt all that funny seeing as though they've already done it before. In fact the only bit I laughed out loud was when they were in the police station and one of the officers starts crying, just before the next scene you could hear Jimmy whinging.

Hopefully the next few will be better than this one but after the break they've had I thought they would have upped the anty for this episode. So far season 12 has been a bit of a dissapointment IMO.

    Indiana Jones storyline was hilarious,
the look on Lucas' face at the pinball machine was terrifying
. The Chinese storyline went nowhere though, complete waste.

I thought it was a solid enough episode. I liked the Indiana Jones stuff although I agree the Chinese thing went nowhere.

Not a classic episode by any means but not bad. I'm delighted to see the show back and I can't wait to see what they do with the legend himself Randy Marsh!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,806 ✭✭✭Lafortezza

Pretty weak episode I thought. Cartman abandoning the Chinese threat thing was bad, Butters is always funny but that's about it.
The rape/Indiana Jones thing was funny the first time or two but just got boring towards the end.

    4/10

what was the bit about shooting people in the dick?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,584 ✭✭✭✭Creamy Goodness

i loved the indy bits, so what if it was done before.

everyone seemed to love stanleys cup when they re-did the "Rob Schneider" bits, so why can't they do it again.

the chinese bits were just kinda meh tbh for the simple fact they didn't go anywhere.

Not a great episode, no real depth to the jokes. Hope the series picks up in the next few eps.

Liked the "Indiana Jones was raped" thing although it was diminished a bit by having already been done to an extent with the Star Wars/ET episode. The China thing felt like it should have gone somewhere and just fizzled out instead, although the "stop shooting people in the dick man, it's not cool!" thing was good.

Not the best episode, but it's just the start of a new half-series so I'm hopeful as of yet...

Am I the only one that thought Cartman's voice sounded slightly different? Like Trey Parker had a cold or something

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,420 ✭✭✭JaneyMc

Didn't notice anything. Episode was ok, would probably give it a 7. I did enjoy the Indiana Jones thing, but it got old and fast.

Butters was the best thing about this episode. But then, Butters usually is.

Not really good at all, the gun joke was ok, but mostly it was a bit....cartmanish. I hate cartman

I was going to say they crossed the line, that it stops being fair game when you take the piss out of something that actually kills, but I'd be a hypocrite as I didn't get pissed off at the AIDS episodes.

The ending saved the episode from being a crude piece of **** to be honest. Go Wendy!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

    Crap episode.

I enjoyed it. Butters was quite funny and the refrence to there will be blood had me grinning.

But why do you watch Southpark then? Cartman is in it loads!!!! Thats like me saying I hate Bill Cosby, but still watching the Bill Cosby Show!

wasn't a great episode, but it was very funny

I think that the chinese episode was amazing.
It's definitely gone straight up there as one of my favorite episodes of south park, without a shadow of a doubt.
Could be because its exactly how I felt about the new Indiana Jones movie myself....

"you see the kids these days, with their hipping and their hopping, they have forgotten, what the jazz, is all about".

this weeks episode was another okish episode, funniest part was:
Cartman taking a dump on Mr.Garrison's (ohh how i love typing MR.Garrision again) desk

I can not think about Bill Cosby without thinking of that.

    That or

"Pokeyman?! Pokeyman with the pokey and the man and the thing where the guy comes out of the thing," etc.

Anyway back on topic. I haven't seen the latest one, and probably won;t get to see it until the weekend :(

I thought it was even poorer this week.

What was up with the side plot with the goth kids and Stan..? that didn't even go anywhere.

Really like the latest one. The more Cartman the better I say. Loved the fight scene taken from Snatch.

I think they were using Stan as a means of communication because he was once one of them(albeit for a short time). It was the episode that took the piss out of Hooters.

I thought this week's episode was bloody BRILLIANT.

It showed the greatness of the Cartman character. Such a little evil thing but you can't help but root for him in a weird way. It built well and delivered in the final scene.
"Eric did you just take a crap on my desk?"

"Whassup? Whassup? Took a crap on your desk. Whassup with that?"

    Loved the underwear scene too.

+1. It was awesome. Particularly Cartman trying to be black

5 stars for the new episode :D

Ugh didn't like this weeks episode at all. The Peru pipe things was just random and randy with the camera was just annoying. Even when it was revealed to be a cloverfield parody it just didn't work for me. Hopefully the second part picks up the pieces, but I'm not holding my breath.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators, Regional Abroad Moderators Posts: 11,129 Mod ✭✭✭✭Fysh

"Breast cancer episode ever" I though was pretty funny, although it didn't really seem to be enough of a story to work by itself. Some great gags in there, the
dump on the desk and the eating underwear in particular - I howled with laughter at the "*retches up underwear* Oh, so that's where I put those" scene
    .

The Peru pipes episode, not quite so much. Randy with the camera was annoying, which on the one hand is identical to the cameraretard in Cloverfield but on the other hand still wasn't funny (apart from the
    "I am so startled"
bit, which wasn't really worth the buildup). As for the cliffhanger, it felt like an over-stretched episode idea, much like the "Kyle Sucks Cartman's Balls Trilogy" a while back - a funny gag, but not funny enough to be stretched out that long...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I really enjoyed this week's episode. I don't know what Fysh is thinking but anything with Randy Marsh is funny and worthwhile.
I thought it was great how Sharon and the other parents were freaking out and Randy was stood there smiling and filming away.

On a related note, anyone see the pan pipe group, I think they were Native Americans, in O'Connell Street a few weeks back? They are everywhere! :pac:

    Looking forward to part 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

Part 2 was a real let-down IMO. They definitely should've kept it to one episode.
The 'lol' factor of the guinnea pigs wore off I think - I laughed when I saw the guinnea bees, but after that it got a bit tiresome. Ditto with Randy and the camera. Craig got fairly annoying too.

Disappointing conclusion after a great first episode.

I thought the 2nd part was disappointing as well the end seemed really rushed.

I'm trying to give it a chance, but after this weeks episode, it's almost fair to say that it's the worst season since... 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,711 ✭✭✭allybhoy

Yep its been a really really poor season so far. The latest episode is just pants

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,420 ✭✭✭JaneyMc

I'm really disappointed so far with the latest episodes. Thought the second part was a bit of a let down, and the kind of ruined the whole "I'm so startled joke", talk about overkill.

    I did however love
    the guinea pirate
