    Hi guys,

Just finished a degree in Archaeology and History. Have spent the last few weeks walking fields and visiting the better known Monuments in Meath and Surounding counties.... like Lough Crew( for Equinox- no sun!!!!!) Fore Abbey, Kells, Trim Castle, Hill of Tara. Am dragging friends with me to these sites.....
I was wondering if anyone could suggest any other sites i that i haven;t though of..... lesser known ones....

    Any ideas?
    Meath? Longford? Westmeath? Cavan?

My minds gone blank for those counties but you can have a look for monuments in a particular area through the SMR on the archaeology.ie website (a GIS type application). You might discover some lesser known sites in your locality that way. Remember to ask permission for access if the sites are on private land!

Megalithomania is a good website for all that sort of thing.
