    Seahawks v Giants.
Lads before you write off the Seahawks just remember that the full wide receiving corp are back to full health for the first time this season. No question that that was a major factor in our slow start. Now that Hasselbeck has his weapons back, i predict an upset!

You're saying Billy McMullen, Seneca Wallace and Logan Payne weren't good enough for Hasselbeck? Haha. :D

TEN @ BAL Tennessee to continue to roll and make life difficult for the rookie QB
KC @ CAR Nice win by KC last week and a big day for LJ, but I like the home team.
CHI @ DET Defence wins it for the Bears, I doub the Detroit players will get much of a lift from Millen's departure.
ATL @ GB GB to rebound and get back on track to win the NFC Central-but they haven't been that impressive.
IND @ HOU Indy can't lose at home to the Texans-or can they?
SD @ MIA Meh. San Diego has been up and down. Has to be one upset this week.
SEA @ NYG The G-men to win despite the absence of Plax.
WAS @ PHI A must win for Philly
TB @ DEN I should favour Denver at home, but their strength is their offense and the TB defence is very good. A big day for Earnest Graham?
BUF @ ARI Buffalo has to lose eventually, even against a defence that gave up a trillion points by halftime last week.
CIN @ DAL There has to be better unemployed QBs than the dude who started for the Bengals last weekend???
NE @ SF I can't believe NE are only favoured by 3-if that can't cover that spread, they should just give up.
PIT @ JAC Has to be the Jags against a hurting Steelers.

    Monday, Oct 06
MIN @ NO Minny get McKinnie back and I doubt the Saints D will get as close to Frerotte/Jackson as they did to O'Sullivan. I don't think Minny will be 1-4...

    Last week 10-5
    Overall 40-22

TEN @ BAL 1:00 PM I think Baltimore being at home makes this one tough. While they did some great things on Monday - Ten have been excellent thus far this year, and they will surely pressure more mistakes from Flacco than the Steelers forced.
KC @ CAR 1:00 PM Denver missed so many tackles vs LJ last week it was unreal (and it cost me :(). I don't see him getting 200yards on the road in Carolina. Home win for a good looking Panthers team.
CHI @ DET 1:00 PM Sacking Millen will help them long term, but the same coaching staff and players are in place. So long as that is the case, I ain't backing them. Chicago could be 4 - 0 if it wasn't for a couple of 4th quarter plays.
ATL @ GB 1:00 PM Until Ryan does it on the road I ain't buying them in this type of matchup.
IND @ HOU 1:00 PM Going for the upset. Houston were able to run the ball last week - and it made such a difference for them. If they can tilt the time of poss more in their favor, their front seven defensively is excellent. AND the Colts can't stop the run so long as Sanders remains injured. Home win shock imo.
SD @ MIA 1:00 PM Wow, I think this is a coinflip. The Dolphins have had a byweek to prepare and should have a lot of confidence swirling around the locker room. Will we see that funky formation that raped the Pats again? :) Still think SD will have too much. Would not bet on them beating the spread though.
SEA @ NYG 1:00 PM The Giants could be legit again. Seattle receivers being back will help - but their record east of the Mississippi is not good.
WAS @ PHI 1:00 PM What a sick game to try pick. I'm just going to pick against the form team because of home advantage and how out there these NFC East rivalries can be.
TB @ DEN 4:05 PM **** you Denver. :( Still a good team though.
BUF @ ARI 4:15 PM Boldin will not play this week but is thankfully ok after that scary hit in New Jersey at the weekend. That hurts Arizona and, while I don't believe they are as bad as the Jets game suggested and are at home, the Bills have been awesome thus far this year.
CIN @ DAL 4:15 PM Fitzpatrick is a better QB than Sunday suggested imo. It looks like he got thrown in at the deep end, and someone of his intelligence and credentials should perform much better with a week of proper prep under his belt. That said, even if Palmer was fully fit and playing - I'd be picking the Cowboys.
NE @ SF 4:15 PM This is another really difficult game to pick I think. That said, NE are normally so good off a byweek that I think they will find ways to win. Still think SF are better than people think.
PIT @ JAC 8:15 PM Two consecutive emotional wins in overtime + David Garrard playing more like the 2007 version + a run game beginning to tick + home advantage + Big Ben getting NO protection = lump on the Jags imo.

MIN @ NO 8:30 PM Great offense plays great defense. Frerotte is not going to be able to exploit NO's awful secondary enough imo. I reckon it could be another very good MNF game though.

Tennessee - my guess is this one stays under 20 points combined, and it comes down to a turnover battle.
Kansas City - I just found out last week Kansas City isn't in Kansas. Isn't that ****ed up?
Chicago - Don't understand why Daunte Culpepper/anyone wasn't signed to replace the two messers at QB here, but DST will win it for them.
Atlanta - Rodgers with no arm-strength from the injury, Grant with no spark this year = a lot of short completions and fluffed third downs from hurt Rodgers or Flynn, and a loss.
Indianapolis - Texans aren't actually good, ignore what people tell you.
Miami - Don't ask me why.
Giants - Giants look better this year than they did last year. Hixon to score a TD.
Philadelphia - I know the Redskins are gaining momentum, and Westbrook is out, but Buckhalter is better than a number 2 RB, and I think McNabb can get this done.
Tampa Bay - Jon Gruden to shout his team to victory again. The man shouts even when he's whispering. It's just his voice.
Arizona - Best QB/2 WR tandem in the league. Even if Boldin is hurt and doesn't get targets, once he starts, he'll make it hard for defences and he'll open it up for Larry Fitz/Edgerrin.
Cincinnati - Chad Ocho Cinco to score a TD, to kiss the star (he promised this), Dallas to go mental.
New England - Big players make plays. Genius coaches knocked out of their comfort zone take a while to adjust, but they should win this.
Jacksonville - Best RB duo in the game? Maybe not quite, but still.
Minneapolis - Adrian Peterson, the best halfback in football, ladies and gentleman

Rams to lose to themselves on the bye-week, Al Davis to get angry at poor management in the Raiders organisation and fire himself for cause for airing dirty laundry in public.

6-7 last week, poor week but surely I get bonus points for calling the Skins over the Cowboys?
    23-21 since the start. Hmmm.

As an aside, I've been looking at the results in games where the away team has to travel from east coast to west coast or vice versa (or North to South corner) and I am close to just auto - picking the home teams in such match - ups irrespective of form, etc. It could be the highest EV way to pick NFL fixture lists.

    This whole Millen thing:

Sacking your GM doesn't help you win a game right now. It might help you draft better, or sign better free agents and staff, or make better decisions in the daily running of the organisation, but it's not like replacing a bad player. Players make plays and coaches... make... I don't know, decisions. A minor confidence boost maybe. But the Lions suck.

TEN @ BAL - Mean defense, good offense should swing it Titans way
KC @ CAR - Last weeks chiefs win was unexpected, hard to see them do it 2 weeks in a row
CHI @ DET - If Bears Defense can stop Kitna throwing it about then easy win
ATL @ GB - This one all depends on whether Rodgers is fit.
IND @ HOU - Colts need to start winning very soon
SD @ MIA - Chargers should easily win here to keep up good form
SEA @ NYG - Even without Burress, Giants should have too much firepower
WAS @ PHI - Reckon Redskins will sneak this just about
TB @ DEN - Home advantage should decide this
BUF @ ARI - Bills streak to end
CIN @ DAL - Poor bengals team, cant see them winning here
NE @ SF - surely they cant lose 2 in a row
PIT @ JAC - Jags looking better, if Big Ben is out then cant see Steelers putting up much resistence
MIN @ NO - Petersen wont be able to carry this team single handed

TEN @ BAL 1:00 PM Tennessee have had an excellent start and last weeks win against the Viks makes me think they could be very good. However I think Flacco is competent and has a good head, and I'll take the Ravens running game combined with their wicked D to undo the Titans.
    KC @ CAR 1:00 PM
Kansas surprised last week but they won't find scoring easy this week. This could be closer than it looks to me because I see the Panthers dishing it out with big numbers here.
    CHI @ DET 1:00 PM
The Bears defense is not at fault for their losses this year. The offense has to improve and I don't see it happening with Kyle Orton at QB, however Detroit have been very poor this year and I'll take Chicago to win a low scoring game.
    ATL @ GB 1:00 PM
With doubts over Rodgers fitness this game could swing either way. Its only a matter of time before Ryan gets it going away from home. I gonna take a chance on the Falcons here
    IND @ HOU 1:00
PM Its chit or bust time for Indy. While the Texans got it together last week, I see the Colts ending a miserable spell with a blowout here.
SD @ MIA 1:00 PM The Chargers have been poor so far but they have plenty of firepower and I see them destroying the Dolphins.

    SEA @ NYG 1:00 PM
Another blowout here I'm afraid. While the Seahawks see the return of Deon Branch and Bobby Engram which will no doubt assist Hasselback to improve, they are very weak on Defense and that means they get run over by a slick Giants offensive machine that is humming at the moment.
    WAS @ PHI 1:00 PM
I expected the Redskins to improve later in the season, I did not believe they would be able to get the grips with a new offensive system this early. They look better every week and I see them doing it again here. Philly have been powerful on offense and missed Westbrook last week. But for me this comes down to Defense and Washington proved last week that they can stop the most potent offenses whereas the Eagles while competent are no world beaters on Defense. Game of the day for sure.
    TB @ DEN 4:05 PM
High scoring game here for sure. Denver are fantastic on offense but the D seems to be in pieces. Still I see them with enough firepower to see this through against a team that depends on Brian Griese at QB.
BUF @ ARI 4:15 PM The Bills are going well and I hope it stops soon but I cannot see the Cards doing anything that will stop them. Buffalo are a tough all around team and the Cards Defense give up way too many scores to have any chance of staying in this game.

    CIN @ DAL 4:15 PM
The most one sided game this week imo. No chance of the Bengals getting anywhere near the Cowboys.
    NE @ SF 4:15 PM
I have to pick the Patriots even though we were shocking against Miami. The big thing here is stopping the run and we have not been able to do that with any consistency in recent times. Still I see us scoring enough against the 49ers D to take this, but I don't see it being easy by any means.
    PIT @ JAC 8:15 PM
The Steelers have been ravaged by injury in the last two weeks, Willie Parker was out last week and now his back ups have gone down and Rothlisberger is not fully fit either. A great matchup of Defenses here but you have to pick the Jags with all the problems in key positions on the Steelers offense.

    MIN @ NO 8:30 PM
I've picked the Viks almost every week so far except against Green Bay iirc. They have been a big letdown this year. Their offense has been poor and the D has not been as good as it was expected to be either. Reggie Bush has become an extra receiver for New Orleans this season and it has made a huge difference to their offense. I picked the Saints but a low scoring game imo.

Come on the Broncos, I'd say Cutler is on for another 300+yard game tonite, as the Buccs rank 21st in pass defense !!

It's just so disappointing. If the Colts lose today, they may as well keep on losing and draft a decent RB next year

Watched the first half of Miami vs San Diego and the Chargers are hopeless on offense. Their defense cannot handle this 'wildcat' dolphins offense. Brown is showing that it was not a one off performance against the Pats.

San Diego look terrible though. They can't get it going on offense at all. Maybe its the Dolphins, they made the Pats look this bad as well.
All my multi way sports bets are fcuked though as I had the Chargers as certainties and to cover as well and a quite large single bet also.:(

From what I've seen it's the Colt run defence that needs to be sorted. It's atrocious.:(

All my multi way sports bets are fcuked though as I had the Chargers as certainties and to cover as well and a quite large single bet also.:(
Should have read my predictions post more carefully imo.

Well its halftime and the Raiders arent behind!! Though the fact that they are on a bye week might have something to do with it!!! :D

the fact the Raiders have led at half time in 3 of their 4 matches would probaly be a more accurate assessment.

That was a win that the Colts def needed...otherwise they would have been in trouble!

Yes yes yes .... didn't see the game. In work - watching everything on the nfl gamecenter thingy. I don't believe the Colts rescued this one. We should be 1-3, maybe even 0-4.

I feel bad for the Texans, but not bad enough. Phew!!!!

im delighted with the colts and with the titans for the comebacks, oh and the skins lol, i had put the skins in a bet earlier this week, then picked philly in my predictions, funny how it works out!

the chargers really hurt me this week, all my bets would still be live now if it wasnt for them, but i still have 2 left so ill be rooting for the cowboys to do serious damage tonight and im at least in profit

hmmmm, i may have wandered into the gambling forum in my brain :o

trent edwards just took a big hit

    cant do with losing him!

Cassel showed something there after an edgy start. But the D has to improve for us to win this game. This looks like a very high scoring game.

Jeez, Sage Rosenfels with the most epic meltdown of all time. Last week I backed Denver to beat the spread. This week I was certain that Texans would upset and lumped on at +3.5. And I was right in so far as they matched up better and essentially had the game won. Then sage ****s it up three times to hand the game to a poor Colts team.

    :(:(:(
