The Super Sat will serve as a trial run to see if everything is working as it should be. I'll be adding new features to the website throughout the day, so what you see now may not necessarily be what you see later on tonight!

If anyone wants status updates on a certain player, simply post here or on the website itself. There'll be almost 800 people in the room at the start, so pictures would be nice too!

If you have any pictures of them (I know that would be kind of weird), or could advise them to introduce themselves to me at the blogging area, we can feature them on the site.

Don't have a name for her, but if she's here this weekend in some shape or form, I'll let you know :).

Sorry about the updates trickling in, the Super Sat isn't really a top priority for us as we still have some technicalities to sort out for tomorrow. We'll post summaries throughout the night but I'd recommend against mashing the refresh button until tomorrow at least :)

Good luck to all taking part. I'm a bit annoyed I'm missing this, but these things happen. I'll be keeping an eye on proceedings from a very quiet poker forum.

Out of the 760 starters how many are expected (roughly) to make it to day 2? And day 3? Until what time will the game go on every night?

    Thank you.

    Player Down!!

    By Adam • October 3, 2008 @ 4:26 pm • No Comments

After only 15 minutes of play, we’re down our first player! Sean Mervin was the lucky man to be eliminated, I say lucky because seconds earlier, Neill Kelly announced that the first player to be knocked out would be given a prize courtesy of Ladbrokes!

Having raised on the button with JT, Sean found himself pushing all-in over the top of the SB’s check-raise on a T24 flop. Needless to say he was in a grim state when his opponent snap called with a flopped set with 22!

They're still taking names for registration so I can't get in and look at the master list just yet. Although in saying that, even when I do get to see the list of players, I can't see myself wanting to have type it up.....

My Dad is the spitting image of me, if you add about 25 years :)

My Mam, not so much... ... but she is where I get the fighting spirit from, so watch out :)

The biggest Boardie of them all just managed to clamber out of the frying pan and into a nice comfortable bed. DeV was left praying for the board to pair with QQ on a 6-7-9 board after being called by 6-7. A player had folded 8-9 in the hand and lo and behold, a nine came on the river!

1st hand of the 3rd foooooooookin level.
bluffed off my whole stack. Oh someone please tell me what a spewer i am:(

Horrible horrible horrible (me and my queens that is, everything else here is great!).

I did redeem my shattered honour playing a big hand for near-maximum value soon after and have 31000 with the average being 16000. Loads of familiar faces here and the room and the setup is top class. Fair dues to Neil and Connie!

Best of luck to all the boardies (for once I'm not on Nicky Power's table, but I have Sylvester The Pocket Rocket on my table).

    DeV.

I'm gone. Awful move at the wrong time, one of those ones which make you look like a genius if it works and a muppet if the guy is actually holding second set.

    Going to soak my head.

Unlucky Tom, you looked to be going quite well the last time I was over that part of the arena.

Huh? He's a mystery, clouded in an enigma, wrapped in a shellsuit. Seriously, who cares.
