    Don't get it....

what is the fascination with lads in UCC, and a few girls wearing these disgusting grey splotchy tracksuit pants.

They look like something someone coming out of mountjoy would wear -
    They are unflattering
    - Yes guys they really do show how big your c*ck isn't!

    They look dirty...unwashed

A survey was done and nine out of ten joyriders prefer grey sweatpants...

Okay so that may not be true, but does anyone get my point???

i know what ya mean, not the best lookin of pants. but they are 'apparently' very comfortable. everyone loves comfort. especially if youre walkin around campus all day. or sittin down on a really uncomfortable wooden bench. you get my point, i hope.

I don't get it either, espically since they are sponges for the rain and puddles. Jeans ftw :)

Wet Jeans is not fun at all at all

Don't wear them myself but I don't see anything wrong with them.
I don't know about the "unflattering" bit - I tend to not go staring at guys in the cock area! :D
And all types of pants feel horrible when soaked with rainwater (tracksuits, combats, jeans, whatever)

Theres nothing wrong with them.... the are comfortable and easy to wear.

I have about three pairs of sweatpants that I alternate between wearing into college. Never really wear jeans, not as comfortable during a 2 hour double lecture....

grey fat man pants....worse than wearing pyjamas in public. Don't know why these people are in UCC...surely they should be in CIT no???

    thats just being needlessly provocative!

it is pretty weird though, like if you did some shape or form of boards-sponsored survey and scour the cctv footage, you'd discover that nigh on 99% of students wear the offending garments most days!

    still,hardly worth an entire thread!

Sorry, but you are completely and entirely incorrect.

I would say more like 15%.

They would be from the certain areas of Cork City and outskirts such as Glanmire and Douglas.

I say it because it's true.

    Jeans ftw. :P

ok , i may have been exaggerating somewhat !
as a casual observer, someone who isnt from cork and doesnt know where glanmire is (although i was there once!) , they seem to be quite the common attire !
and plus....15% of UCC students? that's a pretty big number eh !!

People who wear fat man pants in UCC are actually GAA freaks ! :)
    I can't believe no one's mentioned that

Dunno would I wear them on campus but at home if you're just lounging around they'd be grand...

The key words there "at home"!!!

College leaves a lot of room for personal preference. I don't find those pants annoying.

I find the fact that most girls are indistinguishable annoying. Tight jeans that somehow never show off a girls ass (you know the ones I mean) twinned with orange makeup and a scarf is hardly appealing either.

I wear unusual clothes sometimes, unusual for college anyway, like my gestappo-esque leather jacket, I don't care whether people like it or not because I'm not wearing it for them.

Why on earth would you care? Or notice?

/cue massively defensive lambasting (possibly with added sarcasm)...

And "like something someone coming out of mountjoy would wear" - really?

I can see where the OP is coming from.

Dudess - they are allowed their opinion just as grey fat man pants wearers are allowed wear what they like.

Myself, I try not to follow trends like a sheep.
I am proven right in my choices by seeing all these grey baggy pants everyday in UCC.

I also see them being worn by boy racer types/thugs everyday in city centre.

Of course they're allowed - where did I say they weren't? It's just surprising to me that people would notice such a thing... and get bothered by it (starting a thread indicates they are bothered by it). :)

Wow, you are so individual and unique because you don't grey pants. GO YOU!!
    *round of applause*

Perhaps, shockingly, people wear grey sweatpants because they (the pants) are comfortable, and not because they (the people) are sheep.

    I think they look fine...

What's the deal with all these freaks wearing jeans?

****ing thank you. Its like Cork girls are attempting to all dress the same. Some individualism please, your not 14 year olds anymore.

Plus yer all orange, what the ****s up with that...:p

The routine for most girls in UCC is to dip themsleves in a bucket of Ronseal Wood Stain every morning.

    Disgusting.

ah, that explains the High Gloss and Smooth Finish

Jesus grow up, people wear what they want to wear.

    End of thread.

Please leave the backseat modding out, re 'End Of thread'. Its not your job to tell other posters to 'grow up'

I'm sure we are all just venting a little, and talking tongue in cheek. A sense of humour wouldn't go amiss, thank you very much. ;)

Is that not a bit unfair? You're not wearing clothes for anyone else, you don't care what people think. That's fair enough, but passing judgement on what other people wear then seems a bit hypocritical. Although I do agree with you about the mad orangeness...but it is their choice.

I was just walking home from UCC today and decided to count the number of people wearing them. I gave up out of sheer despair. :(
