Triple H is insecure

"Refrain from showing Triple H in a losing/defeated/defenseless position."

This is taken from Powerslams latest edition and is the guideline for which all magazines are expected to adhere to concerning screenshots used in reviews of Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. Now, that is just ridiculous. Triple H was the only one that specific guidelines were given for. Page 9 of Powerslam if anybody is interested.

It's not that bad. WWE just want the screenshots to reflect reality

When I saw the thread title, I was sure Mr. Nice Guy was gonna be the original poster, lol!

As for Triple H being insecure, I think all people in similar positions to him all through wrestling history were protected/protected themselves in similar manors, its just we didn't know about it because the internet wasn't around.

Look at Dusty Rhodes/Ric Flair in NWA, Verne Gagne in AWA, Hogan in 1980s WWF. Guys in the number one position want to protect themselves and mostly, the companies want to protect them aswell. I'm sure Hunter didn't write the guidelines himself, but rather WWE protecting one of their biggest babyfaces.

Then why was HHH the only one mentioned. HBK? Undertaker?

Not a great issue this month of Power Slam I preferred last month's issue.

Just subscribe to Wrestling Observer online it is where Power Slam gets it's news, I havent seen Powerslam break news or add to already reported news in quite sometime. I dont want to be viewed as a schill for the Observer but the facts are the facts.

Apparently IGN haven't heard of these guidelines. I suppose they may only apply to magazines.

It does in fact only apply to mags

    .

People hate Hunter mainly because he has put over **** all people in the last fews years and buried practically everyone around him. The man has being a disgrace since he came back from injury last year.

    + 1

Another thing...Its the small things that make HHH look better than the rest..
For example..When Orton retained the WWE Title at the biggest PPV of the year Mania nothing happened..But when HHH beat him at Backlash he got a huge firework and pyro thingy.
    Mini rant over :)

The counter arguement is that at least WWE knows that HHH wont "do a Rock."

The Rock is a decent actor to be fair sure he is no Christian Bale but he can do light comedy very well. He was also decent in Southland tales, the film was rubbish by the way.

In fairness I think there is a slight chance HHH will put Jeff over eventually, maybe Survivor Series but reckon hunter will probably get it back by Armageddon. Think Koslov is another Snitsky waiting to happen

No..Because Kozlov is actually talented, gets cheap heat for not being american too which is a bonus. I honestly think that he could do a fairly decent job in WWE..Definetaly a future U.S champion within the next 6 months and once he learns how to speak fluent English could well get a short WWE title run to see how it goes in about 20 months time or something..I would like to see it too because he is actually very good to watch in the ring imo

i hope he does and they do let him speak! other wise he is just another big foreign guy that goes "bleeeargh" and for a full title run imo the superstar needs to be able to work on the mic and cut promos!

There is talk of major heat between The Undertaker and Triple H since the latter moved to smackdown. I recall reading that the two have never really got on.
I wonder will we see Triple H v The Undertaker at next years wrestlemania?

Theres one reason i wouldnt like to see that. And simply it doesnt put over any younger guys.

Regaring the source for the above, I believe it may be the following:
Since returning to the SmackDown brand, there is some major heat on the WWE Champion Triple H, mainly for him going out of his way to make the younger talent look bad on camera, especially guys like MVP and Shelton Benjamin. A lot of the guys backstage were upset about Triple H's recent promo and have went to The Undertaker for a resolution. The Undertaker agrees with the younger talent and says he understands how they feel. The belief is that a backstage showdown is coming between The Undertaker and Triple H, due to the way the WWE Champion treats people in the locker room. Many people think that Triple H would get his way in the end, but the one person that Vince McMahon respects and trusts the most above others is The Undertaker. In the end, this would all lead to a match between the two at WrestleMania 25, where the Undertaker's winning streak could possibly end. I REALLY don't expect Triple H to be the one to end 'Taker's streak though. There has always been heat between Triple H and 'Taker but neither ever confront each other face to face about it. People say it's a very awkward situation.

Probably not a great source in most peoples eyes but I knew I had read it somewhere too.

Ewrestling.com is hardly reliable if it was more people would have heard of it and other stories would have been posted here from that site. A lot of that is clearly made up with all the quotes etc. The fact of the matter is that HHH and Undertaker get on well as they are fairly similar, HHH would never do anything underhanded to Taker as Taker is the most respected member of the locker room all the way up to Vince McMahon, HHH and Undertaker have been working tag matches on house shows and dark matches. If there is any rivalry is the same as any other headliners, namely a professional one.

Spend much time hanging around the Smackdown locker room do you?

No, but they are both entrenched in the company and share similar work ethics (i.e. working injured etc.)

This has been brought up on Wrestling Observer Live and The Pro Wrestling Torch site a number of times. It is an internet urban myth.

I'm a subscriber to both as well as listening to the free show on Sundays of the Observer and I couldn't tell you how well Triple H/Undertaker get with each other. Maybe I missed something.

Maybe you are but if there was "some major heat" between Taker and HHH don’t you think you would have heard about? It is an internet myth going back years, if it any of it was true it would have been addressed when Meltzer at least first wrote about the move to Smackdown by HHH as he seemed to take every other factor into account. On this couple of months old story quoted by Cartoon_Head if things were as bad between Taker and HHH why has nothing changed or escalated?
