I need to find a gym with olympic bars/weights and squat racks as my current gym has no squat racks. Need it once or twice a week and want somewhere cheap, only need the place for squatting and some other free weight exercises. Does the place in Santry stadium have squat racks? how much is it? Can you pay as you go?

I didnt hink any of those council leisure centres had squat racks and olympic bars. I remember looking at the place in Finglas a few years back and it only had the smith machine thing IIRC.

If you take a hike out to Image Gym in Swords they have all that. It's just a 41 away if you don't drive. If not, that Northwood gym is going for a song at the mo.

You might also get to see the current Mr. Ireland while you're out there (I was told that's where he trains, but I'm not 100% certain).

Pol Pot trains in image and there is a payment option to pay 65 and a tenner a week the weeks you go(ie if you don't go you don;t pay)
It has all the requirements you state you require.

The gym at Santry Stadium does have a squat rack and you can pay 7 euro a go. So does Image gym in Swords. You can join for 3 months plus, or you can pay a joining fee and then pay a tenner for every week you use it. Sportslink on the Old Airport road has a squat rack and you also pay a joining fee, then so much each time you use it. Northwood has a squat rack and while it's not PAYG, it's pretty cheap.

Northwood in Santry is only around €250 to join and for a year's membership last time I heard.
