    Yep. Some questions...

    1. Is the buy-in 50+15 or 65+15? It is indicated here:http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055056768 that it's 65+15 but this surely can't be the case when you've said 42 players equals €2100, i.e. 50 each.
    2. Is ID neccessary for registration and if it is will an old student card do?
    3. What kind of service do we get food/drink-wise?

    Hi Naill,

Its 65 in total (50 prize pool and 15 reg) I need to send the mods an email to change it in the sticky, as it used to 80 in total (65 and 15 Reg).

    Student card will do.

I provide finger food at the break, you can buy drink from the bar. There is lounge staff serving the drink.

    Hey Derek,

Ya the game was in the Kestrel tonight. We got a really big crowd with 76 runners.

Unfortunately the game had to end a little early tonight at 12.30am as the there is a police sergeant in town and giving the evenue a bit of hassle.

Should be back to normal in a week or two.

Might head down next week, try my luck.
Will it be back to normal next week after the police interferance?
Its a couple of lads playing poker, they must have being very board....:D:D:D

JP great game as usual & excellent turn out again last night at the Kestrel pity about the rush at the end though trying to finish before 12.30. Even the SnGs were stopped early as you know, hopefully sergeant Bilko & his merry men will find something more useful to do with their time soon. Surely there must be something there though that the owners can say it's a private club or something upstairs once drink is not been served, just an idea don't know if it is possible or not.

Got knocked out on the second last table. The game is great value, but became a complete push fest about four tables out, when the 15 minute blinds went from 1,000 / 2,000 to 2,000 / 4,000

Still a very enjoyable night though.

Yes a big jump to go from 1k-2k to 2k-4k, we normally have the 1500-3000.

We had hoped to have the game finished with in the time constraints by double dealing and having the 1500-3000 level still in but as things happened the one night I wanted it to be quieter than our normal 50-55 players we got our biggest crowd in the 3 years that we've been in the Kestrel with 76 players.

Even though I wasn't in the Kestrel as I was at a new venue, I was aware of the situation and made the decision to take 1 level out so we could try finish the game by 12.30am.

    Paudie?

Yep nothing can be done as it is a licensed building, to go later there would have to be a separate entrance and the pub would have to willing to take the licence off the function run.

That said I am looking at two venue's at the moment, the smallest of the 2 will hold 12 poker tables. About 3 months away if it happens.

    Hey Jp,

Is the game back to it's usual self yet or still have to be finished early?

    Hey Stephen,

I had a chat with the bar last Thursday and yes the police are still doing their rounds.

I have decided to lower the stacking stack for tonights game to 7k plus the early bird.

I'm going to speak to the players tonight but looks like I'm going to have to move the game from next week on until things calm down.

    Sorry
