Does anyone know what shops in Dublin sell Superdry clothes for men? I've seen loads of lads with the tshirts lately. I know there's a great shop in Belfast that has them, but haven't seen them down here... thanks

No probs. It was certainly in there a year ago anyway as my bro worked there then. Have a check before just in case!

I've just been to that shop and I'm a bit suspicious about the authenticity of the Super Dry stuff there because (regarding the mens t-shirts):
They sell for €29.99 there, while they're €35 (mostly) in Arnotts and the Super Dry website.
The quality of the material isn't great: I've a few Super Dry t-shirts from Arnotts that are made from substantially thicker cotton than these Cult-store ones.
The Cult shop is beside the notorious Diesel shop that sells counterfeit Diesel stuff (due to some legal loophole regarding Diesel in Ireland), so I was wondering if there is a connection between the two shops. (Yeah, I know that this last point is a bit flakey).

What do you fashionistas recon? :pac:

the superdry in cult is def real, cult is a big chain in the uk and north and mainly specialize in superdry. the tshirts come in different materials some designs are on light cotton and some are a heavier jersey material. the lighter ones are cheaper than the heavy stuff. if you take a good look at all the stock you will notice this.

but ive been a cult fan for years def not a fake shop.

Hey bstar, thanks for that! I'd better look out for a decent lawyer now for my ass :pac:

CULT and SuperDry are owned by the same company. That could be why things are a bit cheaper there than in Arnotts.

Next do a few online as well. Not sure if they have them in the stores as my boyfriend was looking for one last week and they didn't have it.

I visited this store a few days ago to get some winter gear - the service was good however I needed to return a jacket as it was for my son and he didn't like it. This store (Cult) refused me a refund on the jacket even though I had the receipt and all tags were still attached. I will be taking this to the consumer counsel on Monday as it's against my consumer rights - so buyers beware, with Christmas shopping coming up, you could get taken for a very expensive ride if one or more of your "fashionista" gifts are not suitable!

Think that superdry stuff was good but has gone downhill and is over rated for the price and very chavy, couple of years ago was cool.

Not against your rights. The Sale of Goods and Services Act (1980) says that you are entitled to refund or repair if the product is not as described, of merchantable quality or is not fit for the purpose intended. This does not cover simply changing your mind.

However, if the store policy says you can get a refund up to X amount of says after, providing proof of purchase, then you have a case.

Thanks Twee. I suppose what really got me going was that I asked if I could return it if my son didn't want it as he wasn't with me at the time. I was reassured that as long as the tags were on and I had the receipt there would be no problem - I wouldn't have bought it if I knew I couldn't return it, especially at that price. Also, to ensure customer awareness, their policy should be clearly visible to all consumers and also printed on the receipt, neither of which was present.
I work in the service industry for a global manufacturer and we have to follow consumer law i.e. the 3 "R's" - repair, replace or refund - as a consumer I am entitled to one of the above. In Ireland, a consumer has 28 days to return with full refund and after that, the repair or replace (like for like) comes into effect.
It is probably very much a grey area legally, however, I will never buy Superdry again for this reason. When buying for your teenagers, you can never be sure whether you are "cool" or not until you take the stuff home - and many times I have had to return items as they won't wear them.
PS. This forum is great - first time I have used it and it's good to get responses that aid you! Thanks again!

My boyfriend got some nice Superdry stuff in Kildare Village recently. There's also a new men's only shop called Reef & Co that will be stocking Superdry opening in Malahide for anyone in North Dublin looking for Superdry stuff.

There's also a Superdry shop in Dublin Airport, once you get behind the Xray machines.

Would be hard to return an item if you didn't like it though!

You could just buy online from the likes of:

    http://www.superdry.com/mens
    http://www.asos.com/men/a-to-z-of-brands/superdry/cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=1623
    http://www.mainlinemenswear.co.uk/section.php?xSec=2604

Try them on at home and then retun any that don't fit.

Their delivery costs just replace your time and travelling expenses to getting to the busy shops lol

Has anyone noticed that the Superdry black jacket seems to be the uniform of choice now!
Like an Abercrombie for older (20+) males!

Would you not be allowed to return it at their Suffolk St store?

I agree with other poster about how the jackets have become popular now. I see a fair few guys walking to work wearing them in the mornings. They are OK jackets but not something I would wear myself.

My boyfriend bought one December09 in Belfast. Thought he was being real fashion forward, Now all we see is people in the same jacket! On the Luas any given morning there's like 5 lads wearing it! I keep pointing them out to him Poke - he's wearing your jacket .... Poke .... so is he and so on. It's hilarious how much it bugs him yet he still insists on wearing it EVERY DAY!

Have to agree with you there, looks like a good sturdy rainjacket that would last for ages! Now lets hope they make a decent girls one because I hate the look of every rainjacket that has ever existed!
