wobble board

    done a bit of ligament damage to my ankle and my doctor told me to get a wobble board to build it back up again!

    does anyone know where in dublin i can pick one up??

    thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me

    just make to put a small towel around the cushion and rough underneath the wood if possible. It stops it from sliding.

    If you've seen a physio, try standing on your injured ankle and jump forwad using injured leg to keep balance. Jump back again. Then do left and right jumps. Only do these if there's no knee jerk reaction ie me nearly putting my fist through physios wall when I first attempted it! Another thing to do is some gentle lunges, again I stress only do them if no pain or to the point where there is no pain.

    to be honest lightening its ligament strain to both ankles that wrong with me!!!

    i dont do things by halves:D:D

    it only hurts when i walk so the lunges should be managable

    This might sound odd, but stand on one leg, close your eyes and try to maintain your balance. I started doing this recently just to make sure all the supporting structures in my legs stay in decent shape and you can really feel lots of different muscles from the soles of your feet right up to your hips firing to stabilise you.

    My physiotherapist had me doing that after a broken leg. It's amazing how much harder it is than doing it with your eyes open.

    i was doing this last night i really works

    and yeah its mad how much harder it is when you close your eyes:)
