    Hi all,

I can't find a more suitable forum for this, so hopefully someone here can help.

I would like to go on a boat trip (I'm not a sailor myself) to see wildlife such as dolphins or whales or whatever is on offer. I've found a company that operates from the mouth of the Shannon with a 48 passenger boat. It sounds quite promising and the price looks good. Ideally though, I'd rather not go with a group, or at least not a group of 48.

Can anyone here point me to any other possibilities? I think my budget confines me to the Irish coast.

    Thanks!

Thanks for that, I'd just found that site before you replied. Seems there are plenty of companies offering what I'm looking for! Thanks again.

Yeah I'm planning to do a Competent Crew 5-day course with Carlingford Sailing school next spring - kind of as a holiday. That's a long way off though so that's providing the funds are available and the interest hasn't waned.

    Hi,

I've gone on boat trips with both of the following companies and can highly recommend them. Especially the first one -
    http://www.dolphinwatch.ie/

    http://www.whalewatchwestcork.com/

I also did my comp crew with Michael in Carlingford Sailing School and it was fantastic. Carlingford lough is an excellent place to learn sailing. If the weather obliges you'll have an amazing week.
