seeing as materialism is such a massive part of society, and everyone always wants something. everyone always has it in their head that "ooh, id love to have one of those"

my 21st is comin up in a few days, and people have been asking me the last few days what i want for my b-day...i honestly havnt a clue what to say! i love STUFF. but i dont like asking for specific things from people for some reason.

then again, theres loads of things id love to get as a present.

if you could get something off someone, money no object (you still dont have to go for the most rediculously expensive thing you can think of), what would it be?? if you can, let guilt be the limit of how much youd like someone to spend on you.

I'd love a nice Rado watch. thats it. not a mansion in malibu, nor an enzo, nor a private A380.... just a nice Rado watch.

Correct.... and you can save some for later.

They are also an excellent anti-bully device, as you can order the offending bully not to push you, but to push on the flavoured candy popsickle instead.

I'm in the same situation, my godfather is coming over from Finland for my 21st and he asked my parents who asked me what he should get. I don't like that question, too awkward to answer although not answering the question got me a great early present, a framed picture of The Beatles in Dublin Airport in 1963. Best leave them think about it if they know ya well, you might get a great gift!

i wouldn't mind getting a large hadron collider..... just to see what would happen.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,165 ✭✭✭✭brianthebard

It would arrive in a huge box with an allen key and 4 part instructions. You'd put it together over several years only to find at the end that you put part #2460 where part # 565438345738537 should go, and then you'd cry salty salty tears.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 799 ✭✭✭Indie18

yeah i hate when things like that happen plus i would probably have to get my own batteries for it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,190 ✭✭✭Silenceisbliss

    true.

17km large hadron collidor. world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator complex, intended to collide opposing beams of protons (one of several types of hadrons) with very high kinetic energy. capable of DESTROYING WORLDS....creating black holes, anomolies, COSMIC GAMMA RADIATION.

Disclaimer, requires some assembly. Batteries not included

I'd love a pool/snooker table. No idea where I'd put it, but that'd be sweet.

In general though, I'm happy receiving books/CD's.
