Achilles problem

This is driving me insane. I play Gaelic football about 4 times a week. Last year after starting playing at a higher level my lower calf/achilles started acting up a bit. It was sore while running and when I got out of bed in the morning but once I walked it off it was fine. Went to physio and he said it was the soleus and did some work on it. That was towards the end of last season.

At the start of this year it was ok, still not right but I just got on with it. Then about two weeks ago it completely flared up again. It was actually when I got back from Electric Picnic. We did an awful lot of walking as our campsite was miles away. I've been back to the physio and he says now that there's a tear going into the soleus and into the achilles. My achilles is actually sore to touch (it was like this before physio so it's not from him working on it). If you press on it a small bit it's really sore.

Has anyone had a problem like this? I know what the physio is doing is working a bit because it's not half as bad in the mornings. I went for a job this morning though and the pain is still there. I wouldn't mind if I could get rid of it but it seems to be there constantly, most of the time it's not that bad but it's always there.
