    Hi all,

I need to buy a new pair of runners for the indoor soccer season. Can anyone recommend me a good pair? Can you wear astroturf boots on an indoor court (timber floor)?

Any recommendations will be gladly taken on board.

Mods - if i've posted this in the wrong location - please move. Thanks.

I have always used Asics running footwear to play ball, both indoor and outdoor. There's great support in them, they're light, plenty ventilation, dry quickly, very comfortable etc... That would be my recommendation!

depending on the wooden floor (well polished or not) i find astro turf runners dont give much grip, which is what youd need as indoor football is very quick.

As said, the likes of asics or a runner specifically designed for running give good grip and are comfortable :)

    :D Nice!

I meant to say earlier that the Asics running stuff can be a bit costly, as in €100+ in some cases, not sure how much the specifically-for-indoor-soccer footwear costs, but I would imagine not that much. Might be something you will need to consider, although you are probably at the shop already Fowler... I do think they are worth it though. The comfort and support is excellent!

Thanks guys. Didn't get to the shops yet, and with Liverpool v ManU about to start soon it'll not happen today.
Will head in tomorrow. I did see those Adidas Samba's on the web, but i don't think they can be got in any of the stores in Galway. Have searched Elverys and Lifestyle Sports websites but not a sign.

Maybe when i get there eh??
