    Well I've used NutritionX, Maximuscle, ON, Reflex, EAS, BSN, SupplementFactory and maybe some others in the last couple of years and the only thing that influences my decision is the taste and cost as I can't say I have heard or experienced anything bad about the products quality-wise.

    Probably one of the 5lb 60E ones - though honestly unless you're an elite athlete whether one brand has 1g extra of BCAA's per 100g than the other really won't make a difference.

    Just get a decent whey and focus on your diet and training.

    Things to look out for in a protein shake;

    Whey protein blend - concentrate, isolate etc

    Low fat

    Low carbs

    Good taste

    Good AA profile

    Cost

    Gah i've been using nutrition x Pro Matrix recently and it's gone down hill, every shake i make has some unmixed bubbles in it, horrible!

    I'm gonna try out some maximuscle myself next.

    My latest tub of pro matrix is fine, the one before hand had trouble. I think there might have been a bad batch that crept through. If your tub is only opened I'm sure the place you bought it from will change it for you.

    It really doesn't matter. If you HAVE to have the marginally better one, isolate. Assuming you don't mind paying a hefty premium for an extra gram of protein per scoop.

    Yes, any that are overpriced. eg a 2lb protien for 50euro is ridiculous. Big whey by nutritionX is good. 91 servings(6lb) for €60. You will find cheaper of course but its an economical protein from a reputable company so that gets the thumbs up imo. I like usn, dymatize(havent had it in ages though) and a few others also.

    Wolf: Ive had 2 tubs of matrix on the trot now... the twix type flavour and berry blast, both mix fine and taste very good. I find it takes slightly longer to settle than any pure whey protein though.

    On the topic of proteins I bought Flex the other day for the first time in ages. I know companies have the right to market their products etc but its gone way OTT at this stage!!!

    When I last got stuff from them the post was fixed up to 25kg, so if you can find others to go splits with the post it can be really cheap.

    I perfer it unflavoured since it is more versatile.
