So while in tesco last night, picked up some stuff (is any other boardsie obsessed with those cheap bacon-pep crisps??) and went to the auld self service checkout. paid and all with a 20 note, went to collect my change and off i went, back in the car i noticed i now posessed a 10er, 2 fivers and 1.20 in coins, i had made a profit by going to tesco

I've "seen" the same think happen in SuperQuinn were the last user did not know the notes are dispensed from the lower section. So basically for got "free" money off the last user and not Tesco......

i still remember the day in college when i went to the vending machine and all but one row was empty. I picked something but it turned out the row wasn't working. Then i tried to get my change but the refund button wasn't working.

i'd put 2 euro in and so i said to myself i might as well get some money back and i picked one of the empty ones that was 1.50. It spun and i waited for my 50 cent to come out but about 30 euro did. Made my day

Yeah. It happened in my school. The machine wouldn't give back your money, someone ended up leaving 1.30 in there. He could've got another choccie bar but left. I pop in 50c. I'm richer.

picked up a dvd in tesco tonight [once upon atime in america ]from the warner bros range ....between 4.95 and 6.95 [good value]
went to pay for it and it wouldnt scan so a manager was called to get a price .comes back and says he cant sell it to me because it dos,nt have a price on the system .
whats this got to do with making profit from tesco i hear you say .
well it was an impulse buy and i probably would have left it in its wrapper and never watched it or someone would have borrowed it and never seen it again .

I know students probably have no interest in vegetables ... but at the self service checkout, input stuff like brocolli (around €1.50 or so) as an onion and save yerself a euro. Just don't let them spot you doing it too often, as they pulled me up on it.

Note: You don't have to be a student to take part in this activity. Grown ups can be robbing bastards too.

Lol i used to do this but my favourite thing was when in supermarkets with those weighing scales things for veggies. I used to hold the veggies a little lighter on the scales and save myself a few cent :P:P

That happened to me before. Its awesome. Also those bacon things are excellent but if you eat the whole bag a once (or in about 30 minutes) your piss will smell...try it.

Edit: Didnt read the people talking about the smelly piss after the bacon things. It freaked me out the first time it happened...

Inverse to what happened to me. In Hamburg train station I wanted some food so put in my money to get a salt and vinegar rice cake. Dam rice cake got stuck at the bottom despite falling. Had to order some crappy nutri grain to hopefully knock both through the grate. It got stuck too. Next order; Kit Kat Chunky. Came crashing down and knocked everything too. Only cost me 6euro

I love that, but, me and my buddy were in Tesco's before getting a Slab of Carlsberg, Signs said 16.99, it scanned as 19.99.

Instead of paying and saying, he decides to go up and tell the woman of the mistake. So she fixes it, I had told him to pay and try to get it for free, but he is an idiot so he wouldn't listen!!!!!

I hope you gave him a good thrashing for his mistake. The cool thing is that they're usually very slow in rectifying the pricing mistake and you can get somebody else to go up and buy a few more slabs or whatever for the incorrect price. Is it ethical? No. How do I sleep at night? On a big bed of free Koka noodles.

This thread bring back memories as a kid me and another guy discovered the flexibility of cardboard and small fingers. We would hit several vending machines and insert carboard well up the change chute and this would prevent people getting their change back and we would return randomly and collect our pickings. I had loads of twenty pence and fifty pence pieces then it was then off to the arcade to spend said booty. The holy grail was when I discovered that most vending machines pins are 0000 and could easily be made dispense stuff for free.

The joys of growing up in the early nineties! I now give my loose change to the St. Anthony box as I can't stand the stuff in my wallet!

Anyone try the Tesco value custard creams? Try dipping them into your tea or coffee. Nicest custard creams iv ever tasted problem been there like Pringles once you have one you cant stop. They only 39cent anyway so happy fat days:D

Most of it is muck.Check out their pork sausages.They contain something around 30% pork.My advice is don't read the ingredients on the value range and you'll be grand.
