Ok, stealth is often important. You'll want the option of a headset. Only the first one there has that but tbh none of them I'd guess are that great. We got a pair for €22 on 50% sale a while back but they have stopped doing them. Ours are great for what we need and 11 each is great. But that was just very lucky. Still though, I'm gonna save up and get some Motorola Talkabouts, they are just that bit better.

Well I've the middle one (Terrain 550) and I think its good enough for the job.

I'm not sure about headsets - its got a 2.5mm jack and I use a converter so I can us my ICOM headset with it and it works ok - the PTP function doesn't seem to work so I taped the button down on the headset and used the one on the radio itself. I'm guessing its because of the adapter.

Actually does anyone know if these radios can use Motorola headsets? Motorola's use 2.5mm jacks don't they?

    Hope that's of some use.

Thats a good question and I'm not sure - I believe they are the same size (2.5mm) but whether or no it would work is another question! Hopefully someone here may chime in and tell us!:)
