hi folks. I am in my mid thirties... No doubt approching the mid life crying point I have wanted to get a tattoo for a long time but never did because of various reasons. I am now in a position to get one. I am thinking of getting one on my arms(upper)

Can anyone give me a recomendation on places in and around drogheda. being a dub i am new to this in the area.

Hi, I'm Karyn. I'm 24 and I live in Donegal. I have 2 tattoos and a list of ones to get. The list just seems to keep getting longer! The main reasons for not already having them all are money and getting there (side note: I can't drive. was learning but I reversed the car into a hedge). Anyways I think I'm getting the next one in August when I'll be in Dublin, but the wait just seems so long.

How do peeps, the wizzard here, I know I've probably got a few years on most of you young folk out there as I'm the wrong side of fourty. Been into body mods, tats piercings etc for the last 30 years(long before it was "mainstream") but only getting into computers now. I've had ink done all over Ireland and the UK and have visited and befriended many piercers over the years, so to have somewhere I can talk to other enthusiasts is sweet.

Hi all, venturing in tentatively here LOL!!

Only have a couple of piercings, I tend to take them out after a while, bad habit really. Got a question, not sure if here is the right place but gotta start somewhere - want to get my nose pierced, my nearest town is Ennis, are there any good piercers that anyone can recommend or should I just wait until I am next in London and go back to a place I know well?

This forum caught my eye tonight actually, after once again thinking about possibly doing something that I've wanted to do for years now (getting my tongue pierced) - about 2 years ago, I actually took the plunge and got my first 3 piercings done (in addition to the usual earlobes I'd had done as a child). Those were done at home with sewing needles and lots of free time >,< - very painful :P But worth every minute. I have two upper cartilage helix piercings on one ear and one of those on the other. Thinking of also getting an industrial or corkscrew done while in Ireland.

Overall, considering getting a tattoo or two, but will definitely look into getting more piercings. Don't plan on going overboard with it, but a few well-placed ones might do for me.

I dont' live in Ireland at the moment, by the way - currently in the US, but if you've seen me around boards.ie, you probably already know that I'm visiting for a while this year. Maybe I'll come back for a longer stay if all goes well this time around. But I'm very happy to meet everyone here. ^_^ I love what I've read of the forum so far and hope to frequent it more often.

Hi All. Steve here, 27. I have 4 tattoos.

A tribal dragon on my stomach, a star with a Bornean design inside it on the back of my left arm, a gecko on my right foot & a large Maori design on my back. The back piece is about 2/3's done. Its to kind of tidy up a sun that I got done when I was 16 & the guy who done it put it on crooked (tool - how can he call himself a professional??? But thats a rant for another day)

Anyway, I have my tongue & tragus pierced & am planning a japanese inspired half sleeve when I can save up the funds. Thats me

Hi All

Had a few minutes spare so taught i'd introduce myself.

Got my first tattoo and piercing (eyebrow) while in Thailand and OZ, really wanted a tattoo for years but never had the guts/balls to go tru with it and the piercing was a spur of the moment thing.


The tattoo i got done was the word "Believe" in thai, its small, simple and 2 be honest far from the best script tattoo on earth however i love it because it was hand poked and is a permanent reminder of an amazing time i had.



Got my second tattoo a few weeks ago, its a polynesian style piece with a bit of a celtic twist, done by ian in JMD's (cant praise the man enough ) love the piece. May not be to everyones taste but i love polynesian and celtic artwork so decided to combine the 2, and i think the result worked out really well.

Been using these board for info for a few years now, haha. Only really started posting recently, so i'll introduce myself.

Name's Aaron (Obviously) From Kildare, have three tattoos and four piercings (and counting) was an apprentice Carpenter/ Joiner before everything went south, now I make flower boxes and stuff for a bit of dough. (anyone interested? =P)

i'm v new to all this. just wanted to find out more bout tatts got one a yr and half ago to remember my dog dat died it might sound stupid to sum people but i really miss her and to see her name every day helps me. i'm thinkin bout gettin another maybe on shoulder i luv football esp celtic and leeds so thinkin of leeds crest for now.

just wonderin does it hurt more wen dere are small parts of crest to do and different colours.:):D
