Since the 1980's no soap operas have matched the power of what existed in this decade; Dallas, Falcon Crest, Knots Landing and DYNASTY lead the way for the glamorous, wealthy, expensive, power charged, over the top super soaps.

Since Dallas ended in 1991 RTE have only repeated that series twice. Everybody seems to think its more but the complete series has only been repeated as little as twice. In around 1997 and then in 2003-2005.

However, DYNASTY has only been repeated once back in the late 90's. In 2002 a campaign began to get such classics back on our screens for a new generation to experience the prime of dramatic, escapist TV. The campaign succeeded in getting Dallas repeated in 2003 and then Falcon Crest in 2007. However, DYNASTY has not met with the same success.
