    heya

i need to find a belt with a ring on the back that i can clip onto the pulley machine in the gym.

i've seen rugby players using them, clipping tyres and the like onto them to practise short sprints.

elverys didn't have them, nor do argos or arnotts.

anybody ever seen one for sale?

you could make your own with a weightlifting belt and get a large D ring for a hardware store

I've tried lots of variations of this but the truth is that you'll probably have to spend some cash. If you're working with light stuff, a martial arts belt tied in any number of configurations is fine. Anything heavier and I think you have to get the chequebook out.

One of the lads is bringing me up his kitesurfing harness this week and I'm trying to get a scaffolding harness too.

Sounds more like you should try Great Outdoors where you can get clips and belts for climbing/mountaineering.

I tried there alright but couldn't find anything suitable. Most were good quality but the problem was where the loops were positioned.

You could look at buying a parachute sprint pack from Argos I think? Plenty of wind about to give you resistance.
