Actually half of those are originally from Something Awful, but internet memes are pretty pathetic since when ever they're used they're used entirely out of context and about a year after they could have been considered even remotely funny or witty.

I've actually heard people I know saying some out loud in conversation, LOL, why don't you say that's funny or maybe actually laugh you twat. Another one is people saying OMG.

Worst of all of them though is ftw. I'm waiting for the day that someone says that in my company, if i'm drunk at the time i swear to god i'll bottle the ****er. (or at least imagine it in my mind with wry smile on my face)

Ha, just remembered a *funny* story about my friend's little brother, he was 13 at the time. Just some background: a shy, very quiet geeky teenager he was....
Basically,we decided to investigate why he didn't want us to see his Bebo page, and so found him through his classmates(which took A LOT of effort, since his nickname was smth like p*ssy lover). The whole page was just made up of silly show-off lies, but the most embarracing thing was: for his favourite sport he had "SEX" written down...

Too true. The amount of ignorant, rude imbeciles leaving comments there is unbelievable. And that's not including the racists, homophobes, etc. Or the woeful spelling. On the music videos it's the worst- everything is either 'awesome!11!!!' or 'gay'. The only insults anybody can appear to use are 'yo moma' lines, that are at best, slightly amusing, and at worst, make me weep for the fate of humanity. :mad: And if I see one more 'debate' about whether a band is emo or not I'm going to throw my computer out the window.

Its worse on sites like Cnet and MSN, sites owned by already rich companies, who clearly don't need the income from advertising.

Social Networking sites like bebo & myspace, can all burn in hell.
