    Not really.

They only go in for a punch when there's enough gardai around so the Guards can pull them out if it gets to heavy.

    What is the context?

They obviously got all riled up by those two nasty guards driving their ice-cream van into the wrong estate while the beach volleyball was on thelympics.

My first thought is the poor lads stuck in the middle. They were powerless to do anything there and if they tried it would have ended badly for them, simple as.

Wouldnt like to be in the middle of an angry bunch of Pavees myself.

When you're a person of leisure, sure you've got to fill in the day somehow.

Behold the taxpayers euro at work.

Sound of a chainsaw or consaw in the background?

I wonder have many of these folks been picked up since these events?

Would you let them into your bar or hotel?

    +1, pretty poor riot!

What was the Garda presence there? I see 2 uniformed Gardaí. Was the public order unit (think that's the name) there?

Has louth/meath gotten a boost in numbers yet? With the restructuring of divisions I hope they do. Meath in particular has had it difficult for quite some time!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 321 ✭✭wicklaman83

i dont think there is any change as far as numbers go.as far as i know louth/meath haven't been restructured yet although i beleive they are next in line.i think wicklow/wexford are the only ones as yet

Sure Louth and Meath have been separate since July. There is a new chief in Navan.

Has Mulleenger moved or did the Louth/Meath division move there for the day? Was it that serious?

Half the Louth Meath Divisionwere there apparently. Did they bring them in to Longford Westmeath for this or did the poster (that'd be you, on re-reading!) I quoted mix up their LM with their LW? Just wondering.

    I love these comments!

It just shows how big a bag of pussies we all are.

This is the way the world is folks.

the way i see it you all have three realistic choices.

    A) Accept that the world is ****ed, sit back and enjoy it.

    B) get up off your hole and make a real positive difference

    C) shut the **** up.

Anyway last part of the vid is going up now and fair play to the Sergeant, but why didn't he do that at least 25 minutes earlier?

    Dude

Could ya have not just copied and pasted that one line?

seriously this over quoting shizzle should end here and now.
How would a session in a pub go if every time someone responded to what you said by quoting every word you had said before they put in their own 2 cents worth?

It would be the most annoying night you ever had.

quotes are there for quotes, not the whole feckin thing.

Who made you the quote etiquette referee??

I can't see You, or many other people walking in amognst a large number of angry and more than likely drunk pavies and asking them to behave. This shows the excellent relationship the Gardai have with the Travelling Community in the area and that Sergeant needs to be congratulated.

Try doing that in Dunsink Lane....
