Feck it in the microwave for 2-3mins and it will be fine....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,976 ✭✭✭✭humanji

Well, you're unlikely to die from it, if that's what's bothering you. Unless you're allergic to pepporoni, but then the pizza would of been a bad idea in general.

Oh, and don't put it in the microwave! It'll get all soggy. Heat it in the oven and it'll come out just like it was the night before.

    I want pizza now. :(

definitely. its like bringing your lunch with you to work/school or whatever. its left out at room temp for 5 hours or so and is fine to eat. you can't let perfectly good pizza go to waste!

Hmm..i'm not so sure, as usual i googled my dilemma and found this http://ezinearticles.com/?How-Long-Can-Ordered-Pizza-Sit-Out?&id=1276438

    Seems ominous:(

although, in fairness, it was takeaway pizza, it may not have been great to eat to start off with

    :D:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,216 ✭✭✭Kur4mA

I've done it plenty of times and ne'er a bother on me tbh.

Lies!!! If you heat it up enough all the bacteria will die right? We need to build up our immune systems a bit anyway, otherwise we'd all be dying of colds and what not.;)

Admittedly I have a rather poor knowledge of food hygine, but I would have thought that eating cut onions left exposed overnight is a bad idea. My family once ate a salad with onions that had been out for only a few hours and within an hour or two they were all suffering from food poisoning. As I don't eat onions I was grand.

Why ruin a perfectly good pizza with onions? Maybe reheating the pizza will sort out the nasty bacteria though.

Unless you're one of those overprotected germ-fearing Mummy's Boys that seem to be cropping up on other threads, go for it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

You can post it to them :D

    Eat it!!! Eat it!!!!

That two hour stuff is nonsense created by the corporations to guilt you into throwing out perfectly good food and spend more money.

Not convinced yet eh? OK, don't be a wuss and eat the damn pizza already! You won't regret it! *

QFT. Love pizza hot and cold :D

    That page is disturbing:
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), any food, whether hot or cold, that has been left at room temperature for two hours or longer needs to be thrown out.

What about bread? Shops are going to have to start selling by the slice!

But this is the worst part:
Keep in mind that your pizza may not arrive at the right temperature. If you transported the pizza yourself or the delivery driver had a long route to take, the temperature could have dropped below 140 degrees before you even started eating it. Use a food thermometer to determine the temperature of the pizza. If it is below 140 degrees, do not leave it out for the two-hour maximum. It has already cooled below the ideal temperature, allowing the harmful bacteria to grow.

So we're already f*cked before the pizza even gets to us! :(

    cold pizza ftfw.

easily one of the finest 'creations' ever.

Tho after 2 days the crust is a bit..hard but the rest is fine.

Left out. left over Pizza, best heated under a grill, kills germs, and tastes better... And no soggy bits either.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,151 ✭✭✭Thomas_S_Hunterson

You have to be vary careful not to dry the toppings out though, stuff like chicken and vegetables becomes manky when it's dry..

Pizza gets even better if it's been out for a while and eaten cold. Nyom!
And you don't have to eat in the same quantity as when it's hot to get full = economical

    Breakfast of champions.
I always order a bigger pizza than is needed so I'll have a slice for the morning.

Sprinkle with a bit of cold water before popping under the grill..
I bet the OP was eating the damn pizza as he typed anyway, and secondly what is it with college kids and Microwaves, big grants these days???

If you keep it in the box and dont paw the slices you havent eaten it should be fine for a couple of days. Putting your hands or fingers in your mouth is probably more dangerous if you are not a fastidious hand washer. Its basically a cheese sandwich so how long would you leave it and eat it if you had a cheese sandwich in there? 24 hours maybe a bit more?

Hang on, wasn't there an ad a couple of years ago which told us all you have to do is peel off any mushrooms, put some mayo on it and you'll be grand?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 159 ✭✭Rayven199

    Eughh mushrooms...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,070 ✭✭✭✭pq0n1ct4ve8zf5

Definitely, though would be safer if it was vegetarian.

    But don't reheat it.
