    Hi Guys

had a bit of a cold at the weekend and still not 100%. Thinking about going to the gym and sauna/steam room after. Do you think this will make me worse or help ?

Take it handy enough in the gym, the sauna/steam room should help.

The steam room will help break down phlegm if you have a chesty cough, but out of respect for other people I'd say don't go. Basin of boiling water with a towel over your head will clear you out just as good, for extra measure buy a bottle of friars balsom, any decent chemist will have it.
(You'll be hocking phlegm all over the place, thats why)

get a "hot toddie" in to you! Will knock the sh!te out of the cold.

    1 tbsp honey
3/4 glass tea (green tea or echinacea tea will work fine here)
    2 shots brandy
    1 slice lemon

Brew tea and fill a tall glass 3/4 full. Mix in honey. Mix in brandy shots. Add lemon slice and enjoy.

    Hi Guys

thanks for the advice but I don't really have a cough, phlegm etc just feel a smallbit crap still. I'm just worried that a good work out will make me sick again???

If you feel crap, then rest until you feel better. I can't see any doctor recomending working out when you feel crap already. It's common sense really, but I have a feeling you are going to try and work out anyway.

i've the same kind of thing at the moment (slight tinge in the throat and a slightly stuffed head - i.e. i can still breath through my nose but its hampered somewhat). i generally launch in the vitamin C and try to keep warm but i havent let it stop me training. hopefully it doesnt get worse! Am i right in thinking a few rubex here and there should help or is Vit C what i should be taking at all?

My rule of thumb is that if it stays above the neck then I will train but no speed sessions. If it's in my chest I don't train until resting HR returns to normal.
