If it's for painting, the last 340-600 was in for 5-6 days I think, correct me if I'm wrong, do a search for Lufthansa 340-600 on here.

Was working in Eirtech during the week. The A340 is due to depart next Sat 30th at 20.00 according to their schedule.

Will post a few pics later.

Could we expect to see the Etihad 777-300ER back at EIDW anytime soon?

Very much doubt it, they were removed from the AUH-DUB route a few months ago.

I dropped my brother off at EIDW a couple of weeks ago and pulled around by the old airport road to catch a couple of early morning cargo planes, this was around 5/5.30am, so the yellow DHL A300/310 was coming in from east midlands, wasn't anyone around but all of a sudden two cars pull up, three chaps jump out , walk up the bank, take a few photos of the DHL landing, get back into their cars and drive off, it was like a hit and run ! was great !
Is that plane unusual or something to have people getting up that early to grab a photo of it?

Did it have a rugby World Cup sticker on the rear of the aircraft ?

I've seen lads doing this but they are stopping to have a *cough* in the bushes and take a few photos and are gone a couple of minutes later.

Possible also that they worked on the airport campus and were on their way into work(or even on their way home) and wanted to grab a quick snap. It's always nice to meet avgeeks who work at the airport as to many the airport is just the location of their employment.:(

The Webb Ellis Cup isn't due to come here til mid June and the international tour is over so I don't think it's that.

Edit: Unless they just wanted a picture of the aircraft with an RWC sticker on it with no relevance to the trophy.

Sorry I WAS just talking about the sticker on the aircraft.

Most likely they were over at the Airport to catch the early morning Ethiopian flights and seen the DHL A300 that has the World Cup sticker on it, I haven't seen it that often in Dub.

Caught it landing earlier, is that the scheduled length of its turn around, landed at 0945

Its scheduled for something like 12:20, but was delayed around 40-50mins.

Almost 3 hours of a turnaround, they really aren't trying the Ryanair business model are they?
