Dont have a laser card but id imagine that eing quite irritating alright. It'd be like a limit on your ATM card. I wouldnt often go over 100 but the odd day id need it.

I never travel without at least three cards, I.E, two credit and one laser / debit card. At least if one fails you can depend on the others and sort it out when you get back. Travellers cheques are an other option. Anyone travelling with a single account card is only looking just for hassle.
