A Great Mix in Store at Féile an Fhómhair.
The programme of events planned for Carlow’s own Féile an Fhómhair was announced last week and a great mix is promised. The popular autumn bilingual festival takes place from 7th to 15th October and this year’s theme is Ceiliúradh Cheatharlach / Celebrating Carlow. The attractive programme features music, song, dance, drama, literature,ar, film and fun.
There’s Sean-Nós dancing, poetry, storytelling and three book launches as well as film, choral singing, a bilingual lunch date with Labour Party Leader Eamon Gilmore T.D. and a fabulous Concert of local talent in aid of Carlow Hospice to be staged in the brand new G.B. Shaw Theatre on Saturday, 10th October at 8:00pm.
A wealth of entertainment, talent, participation and celebration to look forward to over a whole nine days of Féile an Fhómhair ‘09.

Don’t miss it! Further information, ticket reservations and free festival programme from Glór Cheatharlach on <snip> or to download from www.glorcheatharlach.ie

Keep an eye out for the local talent concert, will be excellent, also the west Kerry author Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé (father of Dáithí) is launching a book on the last woman to be hanged in Carlow jail.
He is a great musician too, so the craic should be great.

It is. You walk directly down the road outside the station, turn left and it's about 200 or so metres on your left. You'll see the gate and you can see the the Arts Centre from there.
