I was driving along the other day, pouring rain, when i saw some fella at the side of the road in his wetsuit and his paddle. Now, he had the right idea.

The weather is all over the place. Pissing rain all day when I was at work. When I was leaving it was sunny and warm. What the fúck??? And anyone who blames global warming. STFU, we've always had weird/crap weather.

ask anyone in or around 60 yrs of age and you will find that the consensus is that the weather now is much much wetter than it used to be

wetter and warmer on a 12 mth rolling average

doubting climate change at this stage just makes people look silly or worse defiant for the heck of it

first:1958.Second:claiming a major shift in climate is happening because of two crappy summers is just as silly.

I don't doubt climate change, just that man kind is the cause since it has yet to be proven in any way that we are responsible.

Went to Spain in July. Planning on going to the canaries in October, it's the only thing keeping the blues away despite costing me a bloody fortune.

Does anyone else find that the "summer" is quite cold? Other years, it might be raining but it would still be hot that you could wear a t-shirt. This is the first summer i had to wear a jacket and im still using my hot water bottle some nights.

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 827 ✭✭✭Phlann

    Last week or two, yeah.

But before that I was roasting every time I wore a jacket around town, even when it was lashing.

edit: I think that might be the worst joke I've ever made... tempted to delete it but I think I'll just leave it there as a warning to myself and others.

edit2: nope, couldn't stick it. deleted

    I personally love the rain.

    Tis better than a drought.

If there was a drought, you'd be moaning about that and wishing for the rain.

    Hypocrites.

No I'd just buy bottled water like I do anyway and watch my landlords grass die which I then wouldn't have to cut.

    Come on the droughts!!!!!!

Its the intermittent showers that p!ss me off. Especially on a day when I have washed the car.

Mountain biking in bad weather is great tho. Makes a warm home even more inviting afterwards.

Check out the data here for the Dublin Airport region:

    http://www.met.ie/climate/monthly-data.asp?Num=69

June, July wettest months last year, July, August wettest months this year so far.

    A joke.

S***! F***! B****x! We have no f***ing water. Can't wash dishes, flush the toilet or even switch on the washing machine. And while I type this I'm watching torrential rain outside! And we've been told it could be off for a week:eek::mad::(.

It's never gonna stop raining, just buy a boat like I did :D

I spent most of the weekend in a wetsuit - I only spent a few hours in the water, the rest was chilling in the rain

that hypothetical doesnt really apply as we dont ever get droughts in this country , the last time we came remotely close to one was back in 1995 and that drought was a washout compared to what say a drought in australia is like

    I miss Ireland :D

Was mid-high 20's the last few weeks up until today. Cloudy and cool today, bit of rain would be nice to freshen the place up!

Can we move to ban all boardsies that claim their base as outside of Ireland?

Roll on Winter. Seriously. I dont mind it coming. It actually seems to rain less. I couldnt give a funk about the cold and dark evenings. In fact, I prefer dark evenings for some reason.
