Just looking to see if anyones suffered the same sort injury. For the last few months I started to get bad pains around my groin after playing soccer.

Basically the bottom of my stomach, inside both legs and around the balls and behind would be fairly sore especially after training/match.

Went to the doctor first of all to make sure it was nothing serious...and it wasnt. I went twice at first he said not to go to a physio but second time he said I should.

Anyways the past month or so ive gone to the physio about 5-6 times. He ruled out hernias gilmore groin all that. He said basically it could be my back and my pelvis and my hip on the right was pointing out to much and that are causing the problems. Didnt play for two weeks then he said i could go back playing.

Anyways back playing and there was an improvement though wasnt sure if that was just because of not playing for two weeks. But thing is my right leg(kicking leg) still has bad pain down the inside of it. Even sometimes when i move it I can feel a sharp pain. This had gone pretty much as to where i could play a whole match without it affecting me. However last tuesday night I could barely walk with it after training. The pain was focused down the right side and that night I could feel my balls hurting again though my stomach was sound....

Anyways talking to the physio yesterday and he said give it two days and see. Its calmed down but when i put a football between my legs and squeeze im still getting that sharp pain down the inside of my right leg and sometimes if i move my leg in a certain way i can feel it. Ive to go to the physio tuesday now and he said to play in a match ive monday evening.

Im REALLY fustrated with this injury and the physio has told me twice now that one more session should get rid of it. All i want to know really is has anyone else gone through this sort of injury it seems like its impossible to shake off and the season is starting in two weeks. :(

I just want to hear if people have gone through the same thing and how long did it take for them to get rid?

Also ive heard wearing cycling shorts are good for groin injuries?

Im just looking to hear stories not ways of treating the injury (so dont close the thread :P ) as I am going to a physio every week.
