    Hello everyone,

i posted a while back about joining a gym etc etc

    heres whats happening so far.

i joined Northwood gym on 15th July 2008 and have been going at least twice a week since.

my weekly routine looks like this :

Monday evening : one hour of 5 a side football on all weather pitch (so basically alot of running about)

    Tuesday : Gym -
15 mins on bike - level 4 keeping spped above 60 as warm up.
25 mins on threadmill - 2 mins brisk walk at 6.5kmph then one min fast run at 14.5-15kmph then repeat for the 25 mins or so.
15 mins on cross trainer - one min speed above 110, one min above 150 and repeat for the 15 mins.
then ab machine (i sit doen and pull over my head what looks like a seat belt from a roller coaster) and do 4x12 reps of 35 kg weights.

    Wednesday :
i train for my football team - a bit of jogging, stretching, ball work then finish with a good 20-30 min of a football game.

    Thursday :
usually take a break depending on how i feel

    Friday - gym :
    same as tuesday

    EDIT Satuarday
when the season starts back next week i will also be playing a football match every satuarday, so 90 mins of more running about.

now to be honest, i havent expected much improvement over the last month os sa as every weekend since i have a had a wedding, stags, 50th, 21st to go to so kinda piged out on the drink!

i have changed my diet around a lot imo, which currently looks something like this :

wake up 7.45am and go to work :

    8.30am : cuppa tea
10.30am : breakfast - bowel of cereal usual cheerios, special k or similar.
1pm lunch - brown pita bread with half a small can of tuna in brine, onion, tomato.

7pm dinner - usually steamed baby spuds and steamed veg and meat which varies between george forman chicken fillet, fish in breadcrumbs, grilled meat mainly.

in between i have a couple of cups of tea, some fruit.

my main goal is to improove fitness and loos my belly and lovehandles!
i wouldnt be particulary overweight except for my mid rift area.

am i eating not enough, too much, should i go the gym more or less, should i alter my routine ()allthough the gym trainer said he will alter it at the end of August

i am male, 1.7m in height, and weigh 78.5kg.

thanks, and sorry for the long post, but ALL advice appreciated.

As long as what you're doing is sustainable and you enjoy it, I'd say yes you are on the right track!

That's brilliant. Keep that mentality going and I don't think you're going to have many problems. :)
