Carbs aren't necessarily bad, you just need to be clever about which ones you eat.

Vegetables are brilliant and you can eat by the bucketload (they're carbs), fruit is great too but eat it in moderation (they're carbs but high sugar), unrefined compelx carbs like brown rice, wholemeal flour, breads and pasta are fine too but just keep your portion sizes down (a portion is around the size of your fist).

Eggs are great, high in protein, nuts and seeds will give you some protein, lots of good fats and some complex carbs too. Lean dairy is also a bonus. There's also the option of supplementing with a protein powder if you feel the need for it.

What kind of things do you eat now?

I eat most vegtables, potatoes, rice..white..but I might try changing it to brown, porridge, brown bread, Id eat some of the veggie fake meats like quorn, Id drink milk but I dont like cheese. Id eat some fruits but I wouldnt eat loads of it, I havent tried any seeds really, nuts Id eat maybe a few every few months :o

it sounds like the main problem is the type of carbs you are eating rather than carbs in general .. You would be surprised the difference swapping brown for white can make when it comes to feeling of fullness and no constant sugar crashes .. not to mention the benefits of high fibre intake :)

Yeh, Ive heard good things about brown rice so I think Ill switch. I switched to high fibre brown bread since white bread gave me stomach cramps and generally made me feel crap
