have mine installed and been playing it for about a week. Runs fine mostly. The odd small render glitch but nothing bad really. Have all the patches installed. Running on a Q6600 and geforce 8800 GTS 320MB

I've got a QX6850 @ 3.47 with 2 GTX8800's in Sli. I'm hoping this will run it at good resolution and fps.

    What do you think?

Quad is fine, you'll need that clock speed for it too. As for Your GTX's, well, the game doesn't support SLI, therefore You got only one GTX, but You should run it ok. Don't expect much, its a bitch of a game to run.

Needed to, although I got bored after 40%, doubt I'll ever go back...............and I was a GTA fan for years, they just made it all to monotonous

I like how you can lose the cops handy enough with the radius thing and if u get out of it and out of sight. Much better

So whats the general concensus on this now. Is this game (with all the updates) going to work on a decent PC ?

    nope.

(edit: depends what you mean by work I guess. It's playable, but buggy as hell).

I installed this yesterday and it worked perfectly for the first 2 hours (i.e. no gfx problems). Then the shadows started to become grainy and these strange triangles/polygons appeared out of the side of cars and peoples heads. I restarted several times but it made no difference. I rebooted and it worked again for about 5 minutes.

I upped the fan speed to make sure it wasn't an overheating GPU abut it didn't make much difference. I have no way of finding out if this is just a problem I have or if it's linked to all the other gfx problems that people are having...

    Core2 Quad Q6600
    ATI Radeon HD4870
    2 x 2 Go PC2-8500

pretty much the same problems here, I installed it a few days ago. I've a GTX285 and an i7 920 and 6GB Ram. grainy shadows and weird artefacts everywhere. same thing happened, worked grand for an hour or two then just went that way when I changed some graphics settings.

Finnaly got this working on last Mission now and disaster has struck
Doing fine on this mission all the way up to were you have to jump into the chopper, when Nico is holding on you have to repeatedly press space to climb in but for some reason he just isn't then he falls off anyone else have this problem?

nvm found a weird workaround to start recording with fraps limiting the fps to 30 and it worked 1st time
