    Howdy,

Can anyone recomend me a good gym in Dundalk?? Im into lifting and cardio so prefer somewhere with all the usual toys! Been happy with westwood in Dublin but moving up so gotta find a new spot to train. Have heard theres a JJB and Aura(sp?) in town, anyone got a review?...or im open to all suggestions!

JJB and Felda are both pretty good.

Agree with above... Step above all the rest!!

With Felda now - far bigger premises and more equipment!! Both have their +'s and -'s but Felda prob slightly better!!

Felda is definitely the best, but as that is only my opinion, you should do your own research. I'm sure the staff of both Felda and JJB would be happy to let you look around and they probably will give you a tour.

Aura is the town's public swimming pool and gym, so you can just pay into the gym for one time if you want to find out what it is like, but I doubt you will opt for that over the other two.

I am a member of Felda for over 3 years, its is much better than Aura and from what I have heard JJB. It has more equipment so you are not waiting on someone to finish using the machine before you.

Try the website www.Felda.ie. The prices are competitive as far as I know, it is 500-550 euro for 12 mth membership but they aslo have some special offers during the year. You are also able to get discounts from the health spa and hair salon(which is good, me being a girl and all):D

Felda, has a great pool area with a sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi's. The showers are also great, kept clean and tidy and there is plenty of room to move around.

I would recommed Felda, they have some great classes as well, most of which you just have to put you name down at reception 10 mins before the class starts.

This is just my opinion though, I would suggest calling into Felda and getting them to show you round and they will explain everything.

    Hope the move goes well.
