Well games tonight for Cork and Pat's.

Cork kick off in Finland against Haka at 5 o'clock. I don't fancy their chances at all and it could possibly finish nil all.

If Pat's don't hammer this Olimps team and home it will be a disaster of a result. This team is terrible. Think I might head this game wit hnothing better to do tonight. Better be a few Pat's goals.

I wouldn't write off Cork just yet. It'll be tough alright, but they're certainly not out of it yet. Besides, Alan Matthews has to redeem himself for this some time; might as well be tonight. I think Cork will be quietly confident.

I think Cork could spring a surprise, but its largely depedednt on them opening the scoring.

How bad are JFK Olimps (who are are JFK Olimps!?)?

They came bottom of the Latvian League last season and only stayed up because the league was been expanded to 10 teams. They got to the final of the Latvian Cup so they got a place in the Europe.

They were only formed in 2003 I think and are basically a feeder club to the bigger teams in the league. They've won 3 league games in the last 18 months or something like that.

    Anyways, they're muck.

Commentary on the Pat's game is gonna be on LW 252 and RTE Radio 1 Extra.

I'm hoping City can get the win in Finland. Haka are missing Innanen who was one of their better players in the first leg, and Holopainen.

City team confirmed on Red FM:

    Devine
    Horgan, Dan, Sullivan, Danny Murphy
Lordan, Darren Murphy, Healy, Gamble, Kearney
    Mooney

One change from the home leg, Behan dropped and Lordan brought in for 4-5-1

    Big night. Come on Cork.

Would go to the Pat's game but its so bad out and getting to Inchicore is hard enough as it is(public transport on a crap day is not fun)

I heard the match is selling well, would like it to pick up weather wise.

Will be listening to the Cork match no doubt.

Updates from the game will be on 96FM and Red FM which can be listened to online, no full commentary for the game unfortunetly.

I love to belive they'd tear into the oppositon for a decent bet (-3 say) but sadly I suspect a tap about and 1-0.

    Mike.

Nah Mike it's gonna be 3-1 to them and we'll go out on away goals!

Odds on Cork have shortened considerably on Betfair - down to 5/2 from 18/5 a few hours ago and they're still dropping. Should have stuck a tenner on while I had the chance.

    25/2 on an Olimps win!

There's a Manchester CITY now? I'm guessing they're some sort of feeder club for the other lads; what's it they call themselves, Urinals or something like that...

Well going on recent results between the two it would surely be the other way around.

Early days, City have beaten better teams than Haka away this season. A revert to 442 is needed immediately though. Screw 4-5-1.

FT Olimpik 1 - 1 Vojvodina Novi Sad

    FT Borac C. 3 - 1 Dacia Chisinau

Agreed! Have they even played Mooney up front on his own this season? He's always had Behan or O' Flynn with him as far as i remember.

Two nil to Haka at HT.

    Matthews is a disgrace.

He should have his passport revoked, and not allowed leave this island ever again.

    Embarrassment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,917 ✭✭✭RebelRockChick

    Behan on for Lordan

What has he done? I don't follow the Irish leagues as much as I used too when I was younger, just wondering why you don't like him so much.

    Farcical.

Starting with 4-5-1 in a game where GOALS were needed, and the lad up top has NEVER played as a lone striker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,148 ✭✭✭Ronan|Raven

He did for Longford a few times ;) Didnt take to the role very well if I recall :)

Billy Barry on 96FM saying it's the worst performance he has seen by City in Europe...

^ The barely fit Flynny for Mooney you mean...at 4-0 down. Thats just plain stupid ffs.

Am heading to it myself, got my ticket at when at the Rovers match the other week. Sure why dont you go. The weather isn't that bad. 78a from asto quay and only a tenner in.

    Wales
    Finland

    Matthews' illustrious list

He's more than justified this time though, Matthews is a gimp.
The Vaduz result wasn't that bad, but the losses to Carmarthen and Haka were a disgrace and I would be in favour of the man having his passport taken(until he retires from football management) .

At least Pats did what they should tonight.
