    Hi folks,

I'm moving with work up to the new eircom building opposite Heuston station.

Does anyone know of gyms in the locality that I can get to at lunch? (preferably within walking distance).

I know the hilton Hotel is .5 miles away but I don't know what their gym would be like seeing as its a hotel.

    Any recommendations gratefully received.

    Cheers.

Id say youre best off looking at one on the quays. Or possibly Rialto village... not sure exactly where in either location.

The one in the Hilton isnt great, typical hotel gym.

    HSQ eh!? ;)

There is a gym in the Hilton in Kilmainham. Probably about 10 mins walk. I went in for a trial day. It's small enough - no free weights, just machines. The pool area looked nice, I didn't go in though. There is a place in Smithfield too - One Escape. I don't think there is anywhere nearer.

Total zombie thread I know but I'd like to know if there is any more info on this? I heard there is a gym in the Guinness enterprise centre? Anyone got any info on that. Ideally I'd like a pay as you go / or one thats cheap. I'm looking for somewhere I can get to in 10 mins to do a quick workout on my lunch break.

There's the Herberton Gym in Rialto. Not sure how good it is though.

Bridgefoot street gym wouldn't be too far away

I live in the same area and go to OneEscape in Smithfield. A little pricey but its a lovely gym with great facilities.

There's the Guiness gym on Walting Street, but there is a waiting list. It is cheap, but has a 25 metre pool that goes to 6ft deep. However if I could afford it I'd go with Escape.

This One Escape gym - is it wheelchair accessible? Do they have any specialised equipment for disabled people in it?

Bridgefoot would be fine. Any info on it? Or the one in Watling. That'd be close too. Any idea of prices?

In relation to One Escape, I was a member there a couple of years back when it first opened. It has a stairs down to it so not wheelchair friendly, maybe they've rectified that in the later years, but thats my experience, One Escape was a good gym but it'd be too pricey for me these days.

    Thnanks for the replies everyone.

It's pretty decent from what I've seen so far, joined myself on Monday. Pretty decent student rate.

What about the Ben Dunne gym. I know it is at Jervis street but since the Luas line is cheap enough and it's not too far from Heuston. And it is really cheap too!

I had a walk down to Bridgefoot St Gym today......quick question.....how do you get into it? There's a sign for the gym in what looks like an unused retail space (the shutters are down and the sign is between the shutter and the glass). Any ideas? I would like to get a look around. Failing that I might do a recon on Ben Dunnes place on Jervis as has been suggested.
