My quest to find a bodybuilding gym in Cavan

Over the last few weeks I have been actively searching the net and asking around to see if there is a decent gym in Cavan. Anyway I got a few names of places and as I moved to Cavan at the weekend I decided to go and check the places out.

My needs are fairly basic, some dumbells, a few barbells, squat machine, bench press with a bench that has decline, incline settings. That should be no problem.. or so I thought.

I tried 3 different gyms. None of them have barbells and the dumbells only go up to 20KG. One of the gyms told me that they dont have barbells or heavy weights as 'they would damage the floor'.

I found one gym that had a smith machine but only one bench that doenst have a incline or decline.

Finally I found a gym down near where I am working and it has barbells (though only up to 25kg) dumbells up to 35kg and a squat machine and seperate bench machine that has an incline and decline bench. Downside to this is that that gym only opens for 5 hours a day and only on weekdays but it will have to do until I get the money together to buy a gym package from irishlifting.. Obviously there are not many people into lifting weights in Cavan :(
