    hiya guys
well due to the high price of protein in the shops in galway, me and 4 friends decided to buy some from myprotein. we ordered in bulk to get lower shipping rates, and after reading this article i was happy with my purchase

    http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/nutrition/importance.htm

so the order was put in yday morning, BUT my friends have suddenly done a uturn and have bailed complaining bout getting ripped and holidays etc.

now im not to bothered as the stuff is good, and they have said that they want one or two packs and in long run it will be worth it.

i wont have it for maybe up to two weeks as it with the amount it could take a while. i am 100% happy to keep it and horde it up, but it has seriously eaten into my funds. so my question is: anyone in galway city that would like to buy some?

    http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powders/protein-powders/impact-whey-protein/

this is the stuff i have ordered. excellent reviews.

now im not sure how it will cum, i think it will be in alliminum foil bags, the same as when you buy the big 5kg tubs of protein from shops.
but im just seeing if anyone would be interested?
ps i ordered the plain taste, and from reviews its advised to buy a box of nesquick or drinking choclate to help make it taste good

i sent them a mail earlier there about their proteins and delivery to ireland so i should knoe in a day or 2 hopefully, how much did ya order?

We ordered to much, way to much, 40kg in total.
it was a group ting. 15kg of that is milk protein. i got this because i wanted some slow release protein for before bed.
im not sure how much excatly id charge as i havent given it much thought, i was just throwing the idea out there.
it will come in alliminum foil bags, and im assuming in 1kg bags, as this wud alow u to simply refil a tub which u already have.
all i know is im ****ing sick of maximuscle and usn. the cheapest kg i can get is 34euro, in the evergreen shops.

a side note in the evergreen shops u can but meridian peanut butter in kg pots, brilliant stuff, 30 grams protein per 100grams, great for the bulking guys plus it costs like 5 euro 20cent or someting close to this.

would 20 euro be asking to much? i ave asked amonst some lads from college and they said they wud take a few at this price.

its a good site guys ye shud ave a look

    think it might well be!

how much was deliver per kg? if you got 15kg's of the whey that mens that ya got it at 7.34(9.27e)per kg, unless the delivery was the same of course?

cheers for the heads up on the peanut butter kg also, thats where i get my 5lb tub of usn, they are one of the very few places that sell 'quonia', which is extremely handy to have in the food cupboard;)

on a side note also, i went in to tony quinn in galway a couple of months ago and was greeted my the most ignorent bol##x from south africa that tried to convince me that unless i bought his product that i wouldn't stand a chance i to achieving my goal, i simply stated that i just want creatine phosphate and he laughed at me and said 'good luck with your attitude buddy'

on the other hand the supplement shop in woodquay they have a good range and the eastern european lady is very nice and friendly in there

unfornatuly we didnt buy it in one big go, instead in a few smaller amounts. this seemed like a good idea at the time as we each would have our own individual stashes but, in hindsight stupid as missed the discounts. so im geting tubs for 13 euro, which is brill, but im not sure how the shipping will turn out as its a fair amount to get delivered, and im afraid that i will prob get charged a fair bit of vat when it enters ireland.

never been in the shop in woodquay but have seen it and have meant to have a look.

i do think that online is prob best way to buy, price wise. it can be annoying waiting for it to deliver and worring bout not being home to collect it.
    www.supplementfactory.com (tink its correct address)

seem to be very good and they are based in ireland so possibly free postage.

the reason i went for myprotein is simply because i use the forum on menshealth.co.uk (not the magazine as its pure ****) and they all swear by it.

ps i hope the new gym opens soon
pps anywhere in galway to buy dipping belt?

try the shop i made referance to in woodquay for the dipping belt, i seen a few belts there but not sure if they were dipping or lifting, that link ya gave there is just a link to a search engine for supp.

what gym are you making referance to? the one in the college is it?

its the new university gym, its the big grey thing that u can see as u cross the bridge over the corrib, will have 25meter pool, big climbing wall, and in the plans it said gym, weights room, as in that these might be two seperate things, so maybe an area dedicated to just weights not a threadmill in sight

    proper link,

and thanks for info on belts, really want one as holding 35kg btween legs is not nice

    exactly!

it was grand when it was crunch where the college gym is now, although it was too overcrowded on the weights side and impossible to get on the bench in the evening, joined the radisson the last week and its a got everything ya need machine size and free weights are plentiful too, only drawback is that sizes go up in 2kg as regards to 1kg which i prefered in my last gym, nice big pool there too;)

    when is it open?

a friend told me it was gonna be 250 euro but i think this will be the student rate. for past 3 years 100 euro has been added to the college admisions fee to go towards the new gym. i would love if they have heaver dumbells than 40kg, was in the states during the summer and they had one all the way up to 75kg. in crunch they were only up to 35, but the addition of the dipping station was a great bonous, if only i could get a fcuking dipping belt Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Do you have a lifting belt?Just put a bit of bailing twine round it and loop the weight onto that.I'll lend you my belt if i see someone doing hundreds of bw dips. ;) anyways i'll be looking for whey in a few wks when i move down for uni, from the sounds of things you won't get rid of it all too quick?

well finaly got the protein. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, my friend and i opened the big box to reveal not the single foil bags but a big ****ing 20kg bag. looks like a bag of cement Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
the milk protein was sound got the five 1kg bags, then a five kg bag of whey and then a 20kg bag.
so i guess im just gonna horde it, though my friend took the 5kg bag and 2 milk ones.
so sorry guys, i shudnt have posted till i knew what i was actually getting.unless ye all want sum lidl bags full of it :P lol

just incase any are going to order some from the website:
the whey is the best iv ever tasted. its unflavoured so i ad a table spoon of cola cow, also throw in a banana, tastes brill, perfect texture, and very cheap

the milk protein is ok and tastes good with the cola cow drinking choclate but has a gritty texture.
