5 WEEKS!

My boyfriends sister is getting married in Italy at the end of August. I kept putting it off thinking I had plenty of time. Now suddenly, I need to be bikini ready in 5 weeks. I would really appreciate your help!

I'm vegetarian and I don't drink milk. I eat cheese or eggs with everything. I know I eat too much junk food, and my carb intake is probably a bit too high.

If I could loose some belly fat within the 5 weeks I'd be happy, I'm a size 10, but I'm only 5'2 so I could do with being a bit smaller. I had joined a gym, but it was only a trial which has now run out and I can't afford to do it again so any exercise would have to be something I can do at home.

Is there any way this is achieveable in the space of time I have?

The first thing I would recommend is your diet and ensuring it is up to scratch. Then immediately, I'd start going for medium intensity runs for 30 - 45 minutes 4/5 times a week and try and incorporate a basic weights schedule in. However, even with just the running, I reckon you will be happy enough with the weight loss as long as you are eating healthy and regularly.

One of my main problems with diet I think is that I would usually only have 2 slices of toast during the day until 6pm, then have a dinner. So at that stage I'm starving. But I don't eat that much really, maybe half what my OH eats, and he's not overweight. I'm just worried I've left it too late.

    Too late for what?
Stop worrying and start doing - at the very least you will be 4 weeks better than you are today.

Step one would be eating properly - toast til 6pm is not going to do you any good. Read the stickies and learn to eat right, do some exercise and you'll be on your way.

    exactly.
you need to eat more so. and get more protein in i would think if that all your having.
you body will store fat when it get hungry. and your metabolism will slow down.
eat something around every 3 hours to keep your body ticking over.

this site has a list of good foods : http://www.whfoods.com/foodstoc.php

as mack1 said read the stickies for food ideas, but you know only having two slices of toast isn't enough.

You gain weight by not eating frequently. What you are doing(without being scientific or technical) is starving your body. Leaving yourself that long until you eat is bad for you as anything you eat is immediately turned to fat as your body is in starvation mode.

You need to start eating 6 smalls meals a day. Regularly and consistanty. This in turn will speed up your metabolism and give you the best possible chance of being happy with your weight in 5 weeks. You need to stop procrastinating and start doing. You have to be mentally tough to succeed in anything in life but if this means enough to you, then you will do it and you will win.

    Hey Helena,

Read the Sticky on the beach body challenge. Its what you're looking to do, its got absolutely everything covered, and its very user friendly,

I find keeping a log helpful. What I ate, and what I did, it becomes a habit and having to write:

I ate nothing but Ben and Jerries, Domino's Pizza's and Drank my bodyweight at the weekend is frustrating :D

    read this ok.
eat more often, in little amounts, stay away from lots of carbs before bed.

workout hard SQUAT your ass off, body weight squats ass to floor,

dont waste your time with situps, as a calorie burning muscle group they are very small plus ur squats will hit them.

do pushups, or at least the ones when u have your knees on ground, if these are to hard do wall push ups, this is wen u lean into the wall ad use ur arms to push away. these will work the chest and triceps and shoulders. mostly the chest. aving strong chest muscles enhances a womans bust, as the breast tissue is attacthed to the chest muscles, and thus will help keep them perky (i like boobs)

dont workout muscles before bed. instead do it earlier, when u work the muscles u make them very hungry and so every bit of food u eat will go through the blood and the muscles will be waiting to eat it up.

    <snip> grow up <snip>

and 5 weeks is ****ing loads of time. but only if you work ur but of,
