Missed Connections....a bit sad no?

Whenever I go onto Craiglist I always end up looking through the missed connections sections and find some hilarious sad ones.

Its funny/weird how some people can make a tiny smile into love at first site.

Here's an example of one thats just a little bit weird
    http://dublin.craigslist.org/mis/751835463.html

Another one I saw was from a guy who was asked for directions in Kilmainham.....apparently he felt he "had a moment" with the passenger in the car and was looking to track her down.

Anyone got examples of funny/quirky ones?

"Dear Ken, I'm in pieces. Why the cold shoulder?"

"Tonight at midnight, your true love will realize they love you.Something good will happen to you at 1:00 - 4:00 tomorrow,it could be anywhere.Get ready for the biggest shock of your life."
I expect to be raped. Yay.

When I was in school, there was a boy in the year above me whom I couldn't even speak to, I was so shy.

It was all I could do to look at him without fainting, I liked him that much.

The funny thing is I'm absolutely certain he felt the same way, but again, was too shy to make any move......

Ah the teenage years are great aren't they?

I used to work in directory enquiries. You'd be surprised how many people try the "You've a lovely voice, what are you doing after work?"

And then stalk you for several months?

Sometimes seemed like it! You'd get a lot of people calling up for a chat late at night. Some you'd be sad for because they were lonely, others plain sleaze, some just having a laugh.

Before I go completely off topic, you did get people ringing up looking for numbers for people and they'd only a name and a county or not even that and you couldn't do anything to help them, ,very sad.

I had one of them about me when i lived in the states. I worked as a barman for a while and then i switched jobs. A mate at college found one from some girl saying she was looking to find the Irish guy that served her drinks in Moose Mcgillycuddy's as she finally had the confidence to ask me out. Needless to say i never followed up on it because something ain't right about going to them lengths to meet a stranger and i also had a good idea who it was based on things she mentioned and she wasn't the may west. If i'm going down that road she would have to be at least good looking to compensate the crazy.

The first response to this made me lol.
It was better when it just had that one response though.

I work in directory enquiries now, I don't get as many of those, none of the blokes in general do, it's only really the girls. Although I have had drunk girls coming onto me for the laugh.

We should start another thread for call centre stories :D

Like the time I came home drunk and tried to chat up the Scottish chick on the other end of the line while trying to order soft porn on sky?

    That's pretty crazy.

Just wanted to say though, you have a really lovely posting style. Your choice of font really caught my eye; classic yet understated.

What are you doing after After Hours?

Tried to think of a witty reply, was ultimately sidetracked by your accurate use of the semi-colon. /swoon

About four years after I left school, I saw him walking down Grafton Street.
He was never especially goodlooking or tall or anything special physically, but he was sooo attractive in a quiet way /sigh/.

Anyway, I spot him on Grafton Street, he doesn't see me, and I smile and blush at the sight of him. He turns his head towards me and I see the recognition, at which point I was extremely grateful I looked pretty good that day, and he smiles.

Then the girl I hadn't noticed at his side said something to him, and he turned his head, so I just walked away......with a little twinge in my heart.

Why did you not simply kill his girl friend and assume her identity?

Walk on your knees and scalp her. Using the scalp as a wig.
