Boom as the horse Walks on Top
tunnels Knock from the Shock of the Clop

Soon as the Guards gather Up
entrance blocked, exits locked, passage lost

Why should they Stalk Us, our lot?
we do Not harm their Plot over Us

Humans hunt for What they don't Got
in as Much in their Lust you can Trust

fishhead pours solutions to suspend the powdered dyes
an alchemist's employment for experiments on the side

throwing Pyrolusite power into stomach acid produced a heavy green gold smoke

This is a exert from the story

Mona falls when she spots a goblin

raw skin screamed with every scrape
    of branches crossing her escape

she bit a root to dull the pain
    when within the crashing stream
she saw a goblin slide past Tim

    distracted she misstepped
her ankle turned atop a rock
    Off balance, her knees folded
and on the broken path, she dropped

I put an old poem from the first book to song

    Beast of Burden
The sun cuts through the naked dome and bakes the earth to stone.
Keeping eyes cast on the ground, I push the plow tip down.
Life is like a furrowed field: line next to line next to line,
and I will keep on plo-ow-owing 'til the end of time

all powers, all the glories we won't soon forget
to the furrows to the reaper, we are not dead yet
with your love dear, with your love, perhaps I should not dwell
with your love dear, with your love, pretend I'm not hell

    {Chorus]
look out to the open sky
watch the clouds flow languidly by
in the wind, they tumble and play
    past your lot each day

that horse there grazing could do work raising
moist soil from earth's soft breast
She'll pull the plow blade by rope tie I made
    I'll finally have some rest.

    {Chorus]
look out to the open sky
watch the clouds flow languidly by
in the wind, they tumble and play
    past your lot each day

    through the stain glass lens

Mono looked through the stain glass lens
while the sun beat down noon shadows
and the day turned to night
the azure sea across the sky vanished
stars exposed at noon quivered through the lens
as Mono slowly turned the glass up toward the sun
saw a cauldron of fire raging whirling into pools
    she winced and looked away

    Goblin Captain (oddly still nameless)
rallies underground goblins that rescued him to topple the king's authority

the new rule to block holes
the king has gotten far too bold
and now he must be shown
    that he is nothing

    so we'll dig below
    and we'll rise above
    and bring his castle down

I'm not going to try and explain everything
that would be for a book I hold onto for sale

    the mare to the stallion

neigh, rift or slight cannot sever the silence
and the call across the canyon echoes in the open
if you really, I am here unwavering

some updating about city and the goblins who live under the city

the shreek in the city pity bare feet underneath
the swing of machetes pinning each entrance
to entrenched tunnels too small for human adults
would you send a child down those wild twisty tangles?
routes of ancient forest passages to what remains
cut the circulation before the poison becomes inflamed

    the above statement is about
the goblin tunnels below the city being too small for adults to fit through

and how there is suspicion that these goblin tunnels run all the way o the forest some 30 miles away

you can't be found when under ground
when out at night while up in town
where dark is light and light will blind
the surface world is left behind

we soon boil in paths airtight
wind to coils as asps will strike
in waiting for the dark night
to kill the king that calls for fight

here the goblins grumble about being hunted and having to hide

take care beware the darkened hours
    cower in your hut tonight
or join the fight to smite the blight
    that rises from the sewer

    walk in pairs or more
    always be well armed
if you come upon a goblin,
    hobble him before he runs

we march in hob nail boots
    pound order underfoot
sound fear rattling to the root
    of every goblin's thought

here, the city folk live in fear knowing goblins could be hiding anywhere
the take to streets in patrols at night

lay low friend, don't offend, the city recently soar
let need find, proper time, for opportunity once more
    you're wild and hasty
    wasted your own nest
    I want to be honest
    I can't get behind this
    desperation for justice
    when messing with our ****
    we live here! get it!

this is the goblin leader of the under city
telling a rescued captain to cool off about revenge
because the city is all ready in an uproar due to the goblins rescue

when the fairy barron was murdered early in book 1

    the woods became suspicious

    Whispers in the woods

    spongy moss repels imprints
    broken leaves collapse together
    exposed roots shirk weight

    lizard told me
    sunlight warms the blood
    close contact encompasses cover
    dragonflies taste good
smell is the taste of air
    on the snake's forked tongue

    GOBLIN CAPTAIN:
why are we idle in wonder
    agape at death's thunder
    numb under open sky

    everyone knows wizards exposed
    goblins on farmland
    this murder's their plan
    they take what they can
