50 post limit in Soccer forum

    Here's my two cents.

    I dislike the 50 post limit in the Soccer forum. That would be the only forum I would have interest in yet I am found posting in other forums I wouldn't post in otherwise just to meet this limit.

    I think if you are a geniune poster you should have a case to get in, regardless of post count.

    This has been brought up hundreds of times. Do a search, the forum was closed down a few years ago because of muppetry and flame wars. The restriction is very necessary. It's not the end of the world, you'll have another 20 posts in no time.

    Indeed there are probably genuine users but the rules are there for a reason. The forum was shut down a few years ago and has had a number of rule changes since then to keep things going.

    Usually takes me at least 50 post to ascertain whether a poster is genuine or not.

    I don't think you are genuine yet...but i just can't tell.

    Quality as well as quantity.;)

    Boards covers just about everything there is to discuss (except bridge) so surely there's is something that you can talk about...

    Do you have a dog? a car? do you get the bus? etc...

    My point was this:

    When you get 50 posts, the moderator in question will search and see if you just spammed random forums or if you are someone with a genuine interest in the boards community.

    The problem with soccer was when people got banned, they just re-registered a new username and continued the same crap they were banned for. Hence the time rule as well.

    Have a look around boards - srsly, you'll like it here.

    This is boards. I'm sure there's enough forums on here to get you 50 posts quickly enough. The only reason its there is so the mods can ensure you're not a complete troll before admitting you.

    in fairness boards is a pretty diverse place and it can surprise you in places. if you cant find somewhere meaningful to place 50 posts, well then you may just be more suited to a dedicated soccer website.
