Upper Body only?

OK little history, snapped my achillies 3 months back and have not been able to do jack since the surgery.

Back on my feet (just about) but all I am allowed do to my lower body is walking or cycling with 0 resistance.
I was just about to get into my old training routine, before this happened, as I desperately needed to lose weight. My fully fit weight is 12.5-13 stone and I am currently 18.5 at 6'1"

Does anyone have any advice on an upper body programme that I could use to begin my fight back to fitness. I really do not fancy waiting another 3 months untill I can run again, before I act.

I have already drastically adjusted my diet to start but I am getting really conscious of the blubber around my midrift, especially after all the work I had started to do before this happened

Train your chest and back equally, shoulders and arms too!
focus on half pulling exercises, mostly back and bicep then match that with pushing exercises, mostly chest, shoulders and triceps, this way it will be balanced and train your full upper body, vary the reps and sets-use 12 reps as a starting point with 3 sets then work from there! always pick the weight to suit the reps, should be a challenge to get to 12..
