I'm a relative newcomer to weights but I know all the basic exercisesfor each muscle group. I do my weights at home so I don't have the benefit of an instructor to show me new exercises. Is there a web resource for alternative free weight exercises or a good book I could buy? Thanks

Do a google search on dumbbell exercises, you'll find any amount of information

Also. when you know the name of the exercise....youtube is brilliant for demonstrations of how to perform it. (providing the people are using correct form that is :))

Yeah I often do that but it very difficult find exercises other than the standard ones. I thought maybe there is a free weights book that someone could recommend? Thanks

This site is decent - gives a lot of exercises per bodypart

    http://www.shapefit.com/training.html

The basic ones are usually the best though.
