Although he wasn't a first teamer, Clichy made enough appearances that season to be an 'Invincible' league medal winner too.
Yup, youngest winner of a Premiership medal...

Man, I can't wait for tomorrow's game. It's been too long!

Particularly looking forward to seeing Ramsey in action.

Is there any chance of a bar in Dublin showing the match? I don't have Setanta :(

    Yep, looks like it: www.woolshedbaa.com/wevents.html

Edit: anyone want to go to that? I'd rather see it on a big screen with a pint than watch it on my PC in my bedroom tbh.

Think some of the members of the supporters club are going into Kates to watch it on Amiens street

Vela replaced in the squad by other new boy Coquelin today apparently.

A shame as I was looking forward to seeing him in action, but there's plenty of interest still with the likes of Ramsey, Lansbury, Wilshere etc involved.

Hmm, no mention of Vela being absent on ATVO - so it might not be true. Fingers crossed.

just saw the interview with Vela there. d'ja know, for someone who'd been preparing to join Arsenal for the past three years it smacks me as really od he can't speak English. needed a translator...

    Team:
    1. Almunia
    2. Clichy
    3. Sagna
    4. Denilson
    5. Nordtveit
    6. Hoyte
    7. Traore
    8. Ramsey
    9. Walcott
    10. Bendtner
    11. Lansbury

    Interesting.

    Clichy's captain!:pac:

No sign of Vela on the bench or anywhere from what i can see...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,746 ✭✭✭✭Galvasean

Strikes me a s unusual taht there are 5 defenders in the starting XI. Maybe Traore is playing on the wing?

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

Midfield four of Traore - Denilson - Ramsey - Lansbury.

Just looking at previous meetings. When we played Barnet in 2004 we beat them 10-1 with hat tricks from Jose Antonio Reyes and Francis Jeffers! :pac:

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

    lol, 1-0 Barnet!

Almunia beaten from a free-kick, who would believe it :P

Looks like our season is starting the same way last season did. :pac:

Hate the new home kit, have to say... and the last one was so good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,531 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Ramsey looks to be a great talent, reminds me a bit of Joe Cole actually.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,468 ✭✭✭Roddy23

    Nice finish by Simpson. 1-1.

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

    Joe Cole??

He looks class alright but reminds me of Fabregas and Beckham.

1-1, Simpson equalises with an assist from Wilshere. Wilshere looks quality.

I dunno it was something in the way he was doing those turns and dribbling that made me think that, and yeah like Fabregas too.

Wilshere looks great, who needs Hleb!:P

Goal from Barazite! He's been impressive too

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

2-1, brilliant goal. Started by Wilshere, setup by Simpson and put away smartly by Barazite.

Lads, who's the co-commentator on Arsenal TV, wrecking my head here?
